Hi,

Welcome to TSN. We use lower case letters here, as we don't want to shout......

However, with that ACK engine, you can test for a few things.....

The breather tube at the front between the heads, can perish and/or block. Get that checked.

The coilpacks (& spark plugs) might need changing.

does the engine sound lumpy at anytime?

thanks for that ...gettin a diagnostics check done later today...might throw up some fault codes but will need to see...Q...if the gearbox has a fault will this cause the engine to cut out...as i say ...it goes thru the gears ok but you never know!!!!!...have changed all the small diameter tubes all the way back to the sensor (are those the ones you refer to?)that sits on the throttle body and still no joy really ...this car came with a raft of service history....which is why a bought it ...but you never know...the engine revs freely and ticks over really nicely....cheers for the advice that man...any more would be helpful...cheers Kev.
