I've just noticed it's got a thimble instead of a fuel tank. :P

Also the 5 door price is £27.5k on the BMW website whereas the 3 door is £30k. Surely they have got that wrong?

Might go and get on the waiting list if it is correct, that's a lot of car for under £30k although the auto box and sat nav will quickly push it nearer £35k.

If you are spending that much get this:

With just over 1200 miles on the clock, the car had its first service and then was driven to DMS Automotive for a bit of ECU work :)

Stock power was dyno'd at 349bhp and torque at 402 lb/ft.

After DMS had worked their magic, the power was up to 404bhp and torque a more tasty 485 lb/ft :D

The changes were immediately noticeable, especially the torque which makes over-taking even more effortless now. In M-mode it's just bonkers.

More recently, the car was taken to Brands for an MSV track-day and I was deeply impressed with it. Sure it's not a track-car, but there were few things there quicker on the day (albeit a couple of race prepared Ginetta's). Traction is a slight issue, but once into third it puts it's power down very well.

I'm currently in the process of adding a few mods to it and boxes are currently filing my house up :)

The bits are due to be fitted in a few weeks along with having the wheels powdercoated in Matt Titanium Grey :D

That is very very nice, and a nice selection of mods too!

Fancy making you unveil it yourself, you should have been standing back while they did it so you could enjoy the spectacle!

One minor spacing adjustment required to that plate!

Now you see, THAT is why I posted the picture of a white 1M when Stratstone had it in. They look fantastic and the rear stance is incredibly aggressive as white seems to widen the car even more.

Nice selection of mods indeed. I've actually seen one with the BMW Performance spoiler and it really does look nice - because that was a white 1M too and it gives a cracking contract to the bodywork colour and for such a subtle modification it works very well indeed.

Thanks guys :)

I will try to make it along to a few meets (as I have been slightly absent on here for a few years) but it's finding the time. However I'll keep an eye on the meeting dates :)

The car is fine in the wet btw :) My last car had semi-slick tyres on it and that was NOT good in the wet. The 1M feels planted in comparison :D

The mods are due to be installed at the end of next week and then I'll post up some photos when it's done if anyone is interested.

Cheers,

Chris.

Sorry, I'm fed up with PhotoBucket but haven't got time to re-load all of my pictures over to another image hosting site right now.

Here are a few photos that I have managed to swap over and hopefully my PhotoBucket account will jump back into life shortly:
