HD problem

Hi i have just got a 2L gt Tdi 2009 golf, it has parking sensors, a parrot i think its called and Sat Nav.their is 18.5 Gigs free on the Hd but i cant seem to put any music on it( it dosent give me the opportunity ) also when i put a Sd card in it says there is an error but its new and works in my home comp.Also their is a fan noise comming from the behind the we screen and keeps going for about 10 mins after the ignition has been turned off was wondering if this was normal? all help would be much appreciated, thanks
