Booster
Spent the day in the garden yesterday building the kids a climbing frame. Felt a bit shivery last night and woke up feeling awful this morning. Some paracetamol first thing made me feel better. Started feeling shivery this afternoon again but temperature is 40.1. Taking alternate ibruprofen and paracetamol but not feeling any better and temperature is not coming down. Does this sound like sunstroke? Never had it before. Twinspark
Sounds very similar to what I got in Portugal a few years ago - which came after spending too much time walking in the sun.
NewNiceMrMe
Does this sound like sunstroke? Never had it before. Doesn't sound like it to me. Sunstroke is serious stuff, usually with vomiting and nausea. With full sunstroke you'd usually be feeling confused and disorientated (insert joke here) too. It might be a very mild form of it, but even then I'd be very surprised. I've seen someone with sunstroke in the Caribbean and it isn't something I'd wish on anyone. garcon magnifique
The last time I had anything like a mild case of sunstroke I was certainly confused and disorientated, but that was mainly because I was on a boat. In Lowestoft. How the feck do you get sunstroke in Lowestoft?
eldavo69
Booster, if you still feel rough tomorrow and are concerned then give me a call and I'll get MrsEldavo to speak to you/laugh at you.
Booster
Cheers for the offer Dave. Had a pretty rough night so got to the drop in doctor when they opened at 8. They say I have flu. Loads of liquid and paracetamol is the treatment.
Luke
I'd call it being rather gay, Booster.
Scotty
I didn't realise that 'being rather gay' qualified you to call illnesses ! You learn something new everyday

Booster
Fook me. This is some weird virus. Temperature is now stable but I'm still far from normal. Light-headed, far away feeling all the time, bouts of dizziness, coughing up some rotten looking things. Not good.
