NewNiceMrMe
Krul is an interesting one because I agree with you - but I get the impression he's a lot more loyal than the rest of them.
Milo
We seem to have had a long line of loyal 'keepers. Given never wanted to go and only left becuase Ashley saw £ signs. Harper was his understudy for years and patiently sat on the sidelines, picking up games whenever he could and he was always solid. He did a cracking job as 1st team 'keeper when Given left. Krul was Harper's #2 and it was only when Krul became #1, did he leave the club. Again, it wasn't his choice to go apparently. It's the one position where Newcastle have always consistently had a good player, and always a loyal one.
NewNiceMrMe
"Always had" You sure about that? I give you Mr Mike Hooper.
Twinspark
So... I reckon... Moyes to make all kinds of noises about a big name player. Then he'll panic buy someone from Everton.
m4ttm4son
I like Ben Arfa. I always wonder why he doesn't get more games. Is it because he's so inconsistent, or is that why he so inconsistent? Cabaye is a younger Arteta IMO.
NewNiceMrMe
Various sources reporting that Lamela wants out of Spurs and to go back to Italy. Chelsea putting a bid in for Fredy Guarin, apparently. Man United ready to bid £20m for Marchisio (Juve) Arsenal keeping tabs on Liverpool's Glen Johnson (eh?) Estudiantes have announced that they expect Santiago Vergini to join Sunderland. Southampton said to have refused an offer for Ricky Lambert, from West Ham. Aiden McGeady set to leave Spartak Moscow to join Everton. AND Jermaine Defoe is leaving Spurs for £6m to join Toronto FC - but will be loaned back to Spurs for the remainder of the season. That will be the biggest MLS transfer fee ever paid. Edited January 9, 2014 by NewNiceMrMe
Luke
And £90-95k a week. Can't think why he's going.
m4ttm4son
Glen Johnson 1)WHY?! 2)Liverpool wouldn't do it, surely? The way Spurs are playing, every new player will be linked with a move out. Easy column inches.
NewNiceMrMe
Reports say his contract talks have stalled and they're prepared to sell - and Arsenal are interested. CaughtOffside have been running it, now a few others seem to be verifying it (god knows how), and Liverpool are reportedly keen to trim their wage bill - and he's a high earner. m4ttm4son
CaughtOffside. Sounds about right. It'd be less a waste of time to read Twinspark's posts again
NewNiceMrMe
Not sure what is going on, but Sky Bet have just hammered the odds on Gundogan joining Man United. He's now down to 2/1. Next nearest is Madrid at 9/2 then Arsenal at 14/1.
NewNiceMrMe
French newspaper Le Parisien reporting that Eden Hazard has told Chelsea he wants to leave for PSG who are said to have put a bid in for him! If he has, how very nice of him. Not. He's only just got there.
m4ttm4son
It wouldn't surprise me considering the way he announced who he was transferring to when going to Chelsea. How many players has Maureen upset already?
