Well, what do you expect?

Thickos rocking up, not giving any details at all on the car, and expecting sensible responses!

Plus, given the nature and structure of the post, you just know they'll never be seen again once they've found an answer - that's if they ever return at all - posts like this seem to pop up all over the place.

I don't think I'd come back if that was the response I got.

Harry - if the seats are electric then it's almost certainly the fuse. Have a dig around in the manual and see if you can identify the fuse for the driver's seat motor, pull it out (there is usually a little plastic tool in the fusebox for this) and take a look. There should be a little loop of wire visible in the middle - if it is broken then the fuse has blown.

Hall fords do replacement fuses, also there should be spares in the fusebox if they haven't already been used up. Pop a new on in (of the same rating!) and see if that helps.

If the new one blows then you have an electrical fault, either the motor is fecked or there is some chafing of the cables making a short-circuit. Either way, off the the garage for mending.

I assume he drives an a4 As per his username. As patently says, check the fuse. In an a4 it's behind the panel to the right of the headlight switch.

Also, there are 3 connecters under the seat. My ground wire frayed and as there was no ground it didn't work. Had to solder a new wire in
