Mac
Thought you may be interested in this: Google Chrome showing your saved passwords I think people often underestimate the exposure if people get physical access to your machine...but anyways, that's a whole different conversation. If you use Chrome, make sure you lock your machine if you wander away from it.

CarMad
I put everything into 1password now I may use the keychain on OSX when it comes along but having all sorts of passwords secure and in once place is a godsend for me. I don't let any browser keep the passwords anymore unless its a really quick low level site that I visit.
m4ttm4son
Holy sheet. And if you're logged into Google, it includes all your passwords from your other machines, not just that desktop. Even Safari's user authentication wouldn't be useful to me as everyone in the office knows each other's PC login. In a larger office, it would make sense, however. Mac
Same for Firefox too by the look of it - what I can't work out is how they're side-stepping the authentication to the Keychain, means there's some exposure there.
cruiser647
Will have a look at work on someone else's machine when I'm back! Then let the chrome team know - if they don't already!

cruiser647
Just checked on our work machines, and 'manage passwords' is locked out.
