garcon magnifique
So... Built in the 60's and early 70's (just). Not a variant of a mass produced model. Neither a luxury car nor a supercar but definitely an upmarket brand. Made in Britain. Low volume manufacturer that wasn't swallowed up into British Leyland and is not still making cars today. The car is a 2 plus 2 saloon with 4 wheels. It is not: Toyota Yaris Harry Potter's invisible car Mario B's camouflaged car Frank Lampard's green Gumpert Apollo Jensen FF Gordon Keeble TVR Daimler Triumph Hillman Humber

Andrew
It has to be one of those cars Clarkson isn't allowed to test. A Bristol Fighter? (I've not read 1,200 pages either so am going on Garcon's handy summary).

garcon magnifique
Ok, I'm down to some fairly obscure manufacturers. Is the company better known for three wheelers? Or... Did a company of the same name make sewing machines?!
