Football results today

I struggle to understand Arsenal.

Brilliant at times today, then seemingly disinterested.

If they'd wanted to they could have scored 6, 7 or 8 today.  They seem to take their foot off the pedal when they can least afford to and other clubs are going to punish them.

Brighton were bloody terrible in the first half.  You'd think they'd been forced to play when they didn't want to come out!

However, you can't take away from the fact Arsenal got the job done and were never in any real danger.  If Brighton had scored again, Arsenal would have just put the effort in and scored yet another.

Incidentally, having now seen the Manchester City 'penalty' that wasn't, they should have had that.  Blatant penalty and Boro were very lucky because it would have meant a very different game.

On the Brighton penalty, I don't think it matters whether he gave it or not - Arsenal would have gone up the other end and scored.

Brighton were awful in the first half and it was only Arsenal doing their usual 'lets not bother for 10 minutes' that allowed them back in.  They then wake up and score again.  I think they could have scored as many as they wanted to if they'd really tried.  Some of their football today was very good.

The slacking off will be their undoing against better teams, but they got the job done today and not many Premier League clubs could say that this weekend!

Indeed, which is where the confusion comes in. +++

Post 3584 onward. Not that it matters just a little confusing with most believing it wasn't a pen and you thinking it was. It's because we are talking about different games

Haven't looked at the Boro Pen yet. No point, will just annoy me if it was a penalty but it shouldn't have come down to that. Would have meant a different game though as you say.
