NewNiceMrMe
You've summed Bovril up perfectly. I can't even begin to sip at it for at least half an hour! Then, just when you think it is okay to drink...you take a gulp instead of a sip...and everyone starts laughing at you when you are gasping at the winter air to get as much of it into your mouth and throat as possible. I have, genuinely, seen a bloke use his Bovril to create an ice-free spot in which he could stand.

Can't be as bad as the old Brighton and Hove ground, the Goldstone, which is now a Toys R us. It was literally a crumbling concrete block with a trough carved out of the concrete floor, you could p*ss in it if you were a good shot, or if you were really brave, squat over it and hope no one p*ssed on you, there was, of course, no toilet paper, and no sinks or taps to wash your hands either. Calm Chris
£3.75 for Bovril at the Emerates, unfortunately they don't sell Refreshers (Morrisons do, 10p a bar- my favourite sweet). Random post finished.

Random post finished. £0.80 for Bovril at Hillheads. I've no idea how much the Refresher bars are. I just give her £2 and off she goes. I never see any change. p.s. there is the delight of lower league (very lower league) football for you - even as long ago as 3-4 years I could happily let her walk along to the shop in the ground on her own in the knowledge she'd be safe. The most dangerous thing at Hillheads is parking your car at the South side of the ground and the ball going flying out and smacking it.

Luke
How dare you. I'll be at the game tomorrow against the Hammers. I'll get my bag of munchies and a coffee. Dylan will have the death burger. We need a good result to make up a few points. Be interesting to see who plays.

Scotty
I hate this fecking offside rule! Rooney right in front of goal and that's not interfering with play? WTF? A scorer like Rooney standing there is of course a distraction to the keeper and he has to be covered and hence is totally interfering. This rule really bugs me. How can any Premiership player be on the pitch and not interfering? If they're not interfering they shouldn't be on the fecking pitch!! Before the question is raised about the Hammers second goal, I still hate the rule. I don't like that it can be discretionary whether a player's interfering with play or not. Is the rule really as simple as if they don't touch is or obstruct the keepers vision then it's ok? That's just crazy.

I'm still stuck to the ceiling and won't be coming back down until LVG stops winding me up with his constant selection changes and substituting a winger for a midfielder when we're 2-1 down with 17 minutes to go. NewNiceMrMe
Two words that amply demonstrate the BBC's dismal failure to main a quality, impartial product. Martin Keown. Oh how I laughed whilst listening to the entire 90 minutes on 5 Live last night. I was driving up from Bath and Keown provided me with entertainment of the highest order. For the first 20 minutes he waxed lyrical about everything they did. From thereon, it was hilarity all the way as he was made to swallow his words. When Berbatov scored I was laughing out loud in the car. When Arsenal pulled a goal back, Keown found his voice again. So, imagine how close I came to crashing the car when Monaco scored the third and I was almost unable to see because of the stitches I was in and the tears I had rolling down my cheeks. I'm not sure how much longer he can last if he's going to keep giving such dire and transparent partisan commentary. He was shocking. He did praise Monaco when he realised he had no choice, but the way in which he then tried clawing it back when it got to 1-2 was awful. Hence, the third Monaco goal had me in raptures. I really don't know why people expected anything different. This is what Arsenal do. Spineless, completely spineless. NewNiceMrMe
I almost wish Twinspark was still hear to read your comments about LvG after the staunch defence of Moyes There is a major difference. I am not asking for him to be sacked. Nor will I. I criticised Moyes many a time, when I felt selections seemed 'odd'. However, when you're losing and you bring a winger off and put a midfielder on, yet you have Falcao sat on the bench and still want to blame him for everything from a defeat to world poverty, well you're going to come in for some flak. If we have very few injuries now, how come our side keeps changing so much? Why is Di Maria being selected when he is clearly the crappest player on the pitch? Why is he persisting with Rooney in midfield? Why bring Van Persie back when he is very evidently not fit? Why can't he give Falcao more than 2 games in a row (and allow him to play the full 90 minutes in each!)? Why does he keep leaving Mata out? Why play Fellaini against Swansea when they're known for being a footballing side and we didn't need the same role he played against Preston? Why is Smalling alive? Why is MU in the Premiership? All these things are relevant and justified questions!
Torino101
This is what Arsenal do. Spineless, completely spineless. This I agree with and that's what is so frustrating. The days of Viera and Petit bossing midfield with a raft of highly talented footballers surrounding them. These days the Aresnal players still have talent in abundance, but they are so bloody fragile! They are missing that drive, heart, passion that the invincibles had and Wenger seems to be doing little to rectify this.
