NewNiceMrMe
5th. We'll catch Arsenal as well. Incidentally (and being a little more serious for the moment).... Today is the first time I can ever recall awaiting a match in which I'll be hoping Manchester City win.
M8CKN
Of all the games I've watched this season, this is the one ive been looking forward to. So you can imagine how happy I was last night when Mrs M reminded me we are visiting her mum today, in Newcastle. Setting off in an hour
Luke
Just a shame it's on early. I really dislike early games on a Sunday. 4pm for this game would have been fantastic.
garcon magnifique
I've been thinking about this. Obviously a City win means a greater risk that they'll win the title, but to be honest they did that two years ago and we all survived. I really don't think the rest of the football world could survive the unique level of high pitched whining smugness that would come from the red half of Liverpool if they won it. I could actually see it threatening civilisation.

NewNiceMrMe
Well if Liverpool win the league they can thank today's referee for it. How the hell was that not a blatant punched hand ball from Skrtel!!!! That was criminal. Oh well, if they must win the league by cheating then I guess they must be desperate. Torino101
You've told us all enough times how Liverpool stand no chance of winning the title, so they must be bordering on dead certs now.

Waylander
Yep I agree. If Chelsea beat us and all 3 win the rest of their matches we come third behind City and Chelsea
NewNiceMrMe
much bitterness there is in the plastic Geordie You know what? No, not at all on this one, just the fact that all Liverpool fans know they were handed those 3 points by a referee. It was a penalty. You know it, I know it, Skrtel knows it. garcon magnifique
Blatantly terrible decisions evened out at two a piece. Liverpool deserved the win but only just. It's all lining up nicely. City will be out of it when Everton take points off them, which will give the Liverpool fans hope - hope that will be dashed by Maureen when he arrives at Anfield with the perfect plan and steals all three points. NewNiceMrMe
I foresee Crystal Palace and Tony Pulis wrecking the Anfield dream. Oh, and Chelsea too. I think Chelsea may well get a draw at Anfield but I can see Palace beating the scousers.

Twinspark
Well, that's another manager out of the rotating door at the Council House, then. Looks like Maureen is the only hope of stopping Liverpool now.
garcon magnifique
So technically this all means Crystal Palace are better than Arsenal, no?
Waylander
I think it serves as a salutary lesson to anyone who thinks Norwich and Palace are foregone conclusions (as LFC matches)
