Luke
Nice little run of matches I'm going to see live at The Lane. Villa on Monday, then West Ham and Chelsea, followed by The Magpies in December. I was going to see the game on Boxing Day, but when I asked the Mrs, she gave me the look. Booster
Another great win after going one down yesterday. Went to the Hawthorns. Brilliant atmosphere. We drowned out the home crowd! Vardy and Drinkwater should both play for England. We now have more points than we did in March last season!

We drowned out the home crowd! Vardy and Drinkwater should both play for England. We now have more points than we did in March last season! They certainly have a great team spirit and never say die attitude to keep coming from behind (oh err). I must admit I feared the worse when the tinker man took control. I had aweful trouble sleeping last night. Luckily for me match of the day was on. 2 minutes of highlights or should I say lowlights of the Man U game soon had me in the land of nod. Three 0-0 in a row. 1 shot on target at home to City, 1 shot on target away to palace its all very depressing. garcon magnifique
I would have thought "depressing" was the last word you'd be using. Hilarious? Farcical? I've lost it with Van Gaal now. Get rid and give Giggs a go. What's the worst that could happen?
NewNiceMrMe
Vardy should get a place to see how he does. Not Drinkwater though. Not yet anyway. As for LVG, I just make sure I've got something interesting to do when we play nowadays. Like watch a kettle boil, or paint dry. We're about as attack minded as a pacifist in a padded cell with a baby lullabies playing in the background. I hate to say that too. It irks me. It isn't as if we don't have the players to attack, we do. I just don't know why he can't see what every other person on the planet can - you cannot play our best attacker on the wing FFS. cruiser647
Your 'tinkerman' is doing bloody well. as are Vardy and Mahrez (for my fantasy team - missed out on either of them being captain though!!)
Torino101
What happened to Adnan Januzaj - I know he's out on loan, but I thought he was the Prodigal Son for Man U, How could he fall so far out of favour with LVG?? Surely just the sort of creative playmaker you're crying out for at the moment. Edited November 2, 2015 by Torino101
Calm Chris
I just make sure I've got something interesting to do when we play nowadays. Just turnover and watch Arsenal, Leicester City or Leeds
NewNiceMrMe
What happened to Adnan Januzaj - I know he's out on loan, but I thought he was the Prodigal Son for Man U, How could he fall so far out of favour with LVG?? Surely just the sort of creative playmaker you're crying out for at the moment. He was pretty awful when given his chances, truth be told. I'd not have sent him out on loan, but I can see why he did. We don't have a midfield issue and Januzaj didn't create too many chances. We have an issue in that the best striker we have is being stuck out on the wing. Then, add to the mix that the manager is clearly terrifying them. There is a reason they pass sideways and backwards - because he keeps telling them not to lose the ball so they don't risk anything other than a crystal clear forward pass. Garcon is spot on. Just give the job to Giggs. I stuck with Moyes because I could at least get an idea of what he was trying to do on the pitch at times. With LVG, I haven't a clue. Not a sodding clue. Rooney should be dropped. Play Wilson. We should also be playing Pereira more because he is superb. Our defence has looked good (other than at Arsenal for 25 minutes) too. We just aren't playing the football we should be. Hopefully I'll swallow these words when we kick-on. If we ever do under LVG.
billy2shots
Just as strange is LVG's man management or lack of it. Brings in Di Maria and destroys him, brings in Valdes and has problems with him from day 1. Now things seem to be going pear shaped with Depay. garcon magnifique
I'm convinced Rooney's poor form is down to LVG's tactics and the lack of quality around him on the pitch. He tries to compensate, tries to be everywhere and do too much and ends up ineffective. It's no coincidence Rooney's best performance so far this season was also United's (by a mile). Brings in Di Maria and destroys him, brings in Valdes and has problems with him from day 1. Now things seem to be going pear shaped with Depay. Di Maria has been crap at PSG until last weekend too. He has been getting hammered in their press for his lazy performances. LVG didn't do anything wrong with him, I'm convinced of that. The burglarly incident was a much bigger issue. Valdes was never anything but back up and I don't blame LVG for telling a guy to go if he was whinging about not playing instead of De Gea. Depay has been poor, very poor. I don't really think LVG has done much wrong with him except he should have dropped him sooner. That said, I suspect he'll play against CSKA. Rooney is definitely being affected by tactics but I don't think he's helping them either. If you play enough games you'll eventually have a good one, but I don't think that is good enough from him. The midfield is being toyed with too much by LVG. I like rotation, but they're never the same 4 players from one match to the next. I just get the distinct impression it is his team talks of ball possession that seem to be the primary aim. As good as having 70%+ of the ball might be, it ain't much good if we don't score. Booster
Villa's new manager must be watching from the stands thinking "what the feck have I done?" I have always loved the "you're going down with the Villa" chant. Fingers crossed it happens this season.

Arsenal getting a point out of Spurs today was daylight robbery. I don't particularly want to see Spurs do well, but they didn't deserve to leave The Emirates with less than 3 points today.
