NewNiceMrMe
Bottler. Agreed. I do wonder how he'll feel at giving up £71,000 come the end of the season....
M8CKN
I'd be tempted at £29k.
Scotty
Personally I can't give a verdict on it. For all we know he could really need the money and that could be a life changer for him. Maybe he can't risk losing it for the sake of his family etc. He's laid out £20 and got £29k. He deserves praise for that as many would have folded earlier. Good luck to him .... and even more good luck to those who are able to choose to stick with their convictions
garcon magnifique
In all seriousness I guess it depends what £29k means to the bloke. For some it could be life changing, for others it'd just mean a nicer car.
Calm Chris
Papers say he cashed early because the potential win money was spoiling his viewing pleasure. He didn't cash in his 40-1 Leics £10 in final 3 bet. Someone told me that the best thing to do if your holding a Leics to win title bet is to do a lay off bet, not that I know what that is. Booster
I have been contemplating just that but the odds on Spurs are just as short as us so it would mean putting £3k on them to make it worthwhile doing.

NewNiceMrMe
I've put £5 on United at 33/1. I doubt it'll happen, but the odds are too good not to.
JonC
Slightly off topic, but seemed the most appropriate place to post it - 2 Chelsea fans giving travellers at Clapham Junction just now, their full rendition of Tottenham-hating, Mourinho-loving and general Stamford appreciaton. In full voice too.

Scotty
I wonder how many people would have been willing to pay him the £29k to buy the bet off him? Booster - no offers on the table for your bet? Edited March 5, 2016 by Scotty
Booster
£3400 was the last one I had and that was ages ago. On one of the LCFC forums there are a few people that have similar bets. Ladbrokes and William Hill have been pretty aggressive with the offers it seems. Sky Bet were throwing the offers around in December and January and have now gone quiet it seems. I think they are going for the publicity angle on their payout (which is is the biggest out of all the bookies it seems) rather than loss minimising. Booster
The £29k payout makes mine worth £7500 as it stands.
NewNiceMrMe
Stay in there. Because everyone else seems desperate to give you the title - especially Spurs and Arsenal!
Scotty
OMFG !!! What a second half for West Ham !!! Never known a West Ham team have such heart. They've never come back from behind like this season. Amazing!!!

Booster
Mrs is working tomorrow so we have all been out for an early Mother's Day treat. Both our phones were switched off. Got back and watched the match. Not classic football but who cares, the result was right!! I am concerned about playing West Ham I have to say!
billy2shots
I think I've been pretty clear over the last few months that although I would love Leicester to win the league, I didn't think they would. I'm starting to think it's written in the stars now. Spurs 2-1 up against Arsenal and with the gunners down to 10 men they were taking a battering. How Arsenal found that strength to conjure up the equaliser I will never know and it is a slap in the face to the pundits that said they have no heart. Of course that draw was yet another fabulous result for Leicester and the way things are panning out they could lose 2 or 3 matches and still win the league. Those last 3 Leicester games are going to be exciting Man U Everton Chelsea Champions. Edited March 6, 2016 by billy2shots

They haven't the heart for a sustained title bid, but like many clubs they managed to raise their game against a bigger neighbour.

Scotty
West Ham at 500:1? After yesterday they've dropped the odds to anything from 80 to 250 : 1. I don't think anyone can work out what's going on! p.s. Two home wins would be good in the league today for comedy value alone
Booster
After Tony Pulis' fantastic post match comments about us and declaring himself a Leicester fan, West Brom are my new second team. They have beaten Man U today, they are still to play Spurs, Arsenal and Man City. Go on Mr Pulis, beat them for us!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qM3AI_n5bhc Edited March 6, 2016 by Booster

Scotty
Just seen this on FB. "After 29 games under Moyes, United had 48 points. Two seasons and £249,100,000 later, they're on 47 points after 29 games." Such value for money
