The inference was that WBA were playing dirty.

The amount of comments suprised me.

I think the key to this is that, deep down, Spurs fans recognise that this was a very rare opportunity to win the league.  I honestly can't see them challenging this well next year.

Chelsea are going to spend big.  City will too.  United will once again splash a fortune (rumoured to be £250-300m) and this time it'll be with a different manager (anyone can say what they want but LVG will not there).

I also expect Leicester to do well again.  They're going to make a fortune in the Champions League and I think it'll be hard to prize their stars away next season unless people like Barca, United, City, Chelsea etc start to offer them huge amounts of money.

Will Spurs win it next year?  I can't see it.

This was their chance and some of their fans are feeling very bitter and looking for excuses.

They won't have lost the league though.  Leicester will have won it and rightly so - they've been the best team all season.

Have to agree with this, and seeing that Wenger is looking immovable, I can see it being a struggle for Arsenal to even claim 4th next year.

Yes to everything said above but there is one big caveat to what they may have thought or not which changes the perspective of hope they had.

Leicester have and had always been ahead of them. They were always playing catch up and may never have caught up.

What would've their thoughts have been then had it gone down to the wire and Leicester were still  5 points ahead?

Leicester have been the best team.

Going back to the Tottenham feelings of unfairness, I do think they were unfortunate with the fixtures and having to play catch up week after week. Admittedly you can't just change fixtures at the last minute but Spurs have been out of Europe for a while and we have known it was a 3 (with Arsenal) horse race for the last 2 months. Plenty of time to adjust the fixtures for fairness.

The people in charge of the fixtures need to take a look at themselves and as a Man City fan it pi55es me off royally.

The Premier League knew the dates of the semi final between City and Madrid for a few weeks now and they have done nothing to support the only English club in the CL semis. I'm not asking for special favours I just don't want to be stitched up.

Atletico Madrid playing next Saturday afternoon

Bayern playing next Saturday at 14.30

Real Madrid playing next Saturday at 3pm a very unusual time for Spain.

City? 16.30 on Sunday before flying to Spain to play away in Madrid.

When a British team makes it to the 1/4 finals of a European competition the fixtures should be looked at.

This is why we will never see the Utd style Treble again, the Premier League prefer to line their pockets than help their clubs in Europe.

Not seen any of it. Was on the train to Manchester and then checked the results! Couldn't believe it from the score line from earlier on!!

1-2 down with 90 minutes gone.

Deeney then scored twice in 3 minutes. :roflmao:

It was as if he thought "Feck this, we're not losing to this shower of shit". :roflmao:

Congratulations to Bournemouth on securing Premiership football next season - despite some earlier predictions in this thread :P

Even as someone who is Bournemouth born and bred I can honestly say i didn't expect them to stay up.

Without the Leicester miracle I think Bournemouth would have made a lot more headlines.

Given the awful injury problems to key players, Howe has achieved great things with some memorable results.

Everything crossed for a Chelsea win tonight, can't ever remember saying that before.

Then the focus will be on for the battle for 4th with City giving up on the league until after the Madrid match it could go to anyone of City, Utd or West Ham.

Relegation won't be decided until the very so almost everything to play for.

Great season!!

The Hanmers pages are full of talk about 4th.

Can't see it. 5th would top off a good season and we'd definitely be happy enough with it.

p.s. My local club Harlow Town FC won their playoff final so go up after three years of playoffs. 3-0 up at 90 mins and the ref played 11 mins extra !!! :-o

I thought Leicester did very well and were also a tiny bit lucky yesterday.

I was cheering for them and, obviously because of that, United played better than in any other match this year! :roflmao:

We should have won it but it is the spirit of Leicester that showed again and that's why they'll win the Premier League.

Chelsea don't even need to beat Spurs.  A draw hands Leicester the crown.  Deservedly.

p.p.s. The less said about the England Vs Germany "Legends" game I've just witnessed at Upton Park the better. Our two goals game from a rugby player !!!!

Total disgrace. Germany waited until the 72 minute and were 6-0 up before putting on their only non former pro footballer. Even he played in the lower leagues in Germany although was not a full time professional. Made a mockery of it all and Rio Ferdinand was not a happy chappy.
