garcon magnifique
So come on. Who honestly didn't fully expect that? Utterly hopeless and completely delusional.
Booster
Second half was bloody awful. Wales top of the group says it all.
Booster
Every year we have a thing round here called Art House where 20 or so local artists exhibit their work in their houses. We have bought a few pieces over the years and when I saw this I had to have it. Purchased for my office but now on the kitchen wall.

Booster
Yeah. We have offered him £100k a week (there is a theme going on here) to keep him. He has left his Mini at Mahrez's house for safe keeping whilst at the Euro's. Might leave a note under his wiper asking him not to go!

NewNiceMrMe
Germany won't win it. Played a poor Ukraine side and looked ineffective in attack at times. Schweinsteiger - the man Van Gaal could never keep fit. Looked as fit as a fiddle to me!

Torino101
Vardy should be getting a lot more pitch time for England. He looks hungry whenever he's on the pitch. Raheem Sterling. Meh....

billy2shots
Danny Higginbottom. I have been meaning to post this for a while. The guy speaks very well and I really enjoy his analysis of games and his thoughts on upcoming matches. He's often on sky sports news and Talksport and I think he has a good future as a pundit. NewNiceMrMe
He writes for The Independent and was scathing of Van Gaal and very heavily in favour of Mourinho being appointed. I don't know what he's like on TalkSport because I think it is crap. I only ever listen to the 5 Live team and still think Chris Waddle is head and shoulders above everyone else. I maintain the view that the best thing any future England manager could do would be to offer Waddle a back room job coaching.

Loads of goals in pressure games for a struggling side and still missed out. I'm fed up with building for the future, let's play the best players now. Vardy and Kane are better but they have no tournament experience which is why Defoe should be in the fist 26 at least. As garçon says, Sturrage can't be trusted to stay fit and Wazza is playing left back these days for his club. That's a lot of pressure on Kane and Vardy. Maybe the midfield can help out, Wilshire, Sterling, Llalana, Drinkwater, Henderson, Dier , Townsend, Deli Ali, how many international goals have they got between them 10 at a guess. I get that Roy wants to look at Hendo and Wilshire but I hope he doesn't take both and once again go to a championship with injury question marks. Goals win win football matches. We don't score enough goals, we don't win enough tournament games. It's not by accident that we have ended up in so many penalty shootouts over the years. It's because we don't score enough to win the game outright. 3 games against Russia, Wales, Slovakia = 3 goals. Wales v Russia = 3 goals Bale on his own = 3 goals 2014 World Cup, played 3 games, scored 2 goals. That lack of goal threat has resulted in us having a much trickier route now. Possibly Portugal then France await and we also have to travel around from where we wanted to be based. Possesion and half chances are meaningless if we are not scoring a decent amount of goals against second rate teams. We are Swansea, we are shite. NewNiceMrMe
We're so shit that shit will sue us for defamation. Hodgson should have gone after we finished bottom in a world cup group with Costa Rica in it. Six changes made, all of which most people I know on Facebook couldn't understand, and he's the one person on the planet who thinks it is a good idea? If we get through the Round of 16 we are almost certain to play France in Paris. Wales will get someone like Switzerland instead, or Blyth Spartans, or Newcastle United. That's what a monumental feck up he made last night.
cruiser647
Well done Eire! Beating Italy with just constant pressure and it paid off. Taking the fouls and giving out the same (within reason) just to let Italy know they were there! O'Neil and Angry Man must be very happy! I am pleased for them, along with Wales & NI. They all seem to have more spirit than the England team.

billy2shots
I think he realised that playing for Arsenal or one of the other 'big clubs' (Chelsea,City) would result in the opposition playing 10 behind the ball week in week out like Slovakia did. That second half must have cemented the fact he needs space in behind and that space will be there playing for certain clubs and not at others. It's only the same as Carrol and Benteke going to Liverpool. They should have declined to go to a team that doesn't cross the ball but they took the money. Maybe you'll get a new car out of him Booster...... Wait for the new season to start. Benteke and Delph for instance. Pledging loyalty, then fecking off at the 2nd sign of more money! But - good for him. Go next season if he has another fab one. If he doesn't have another good one, he may well have missed his chance for bigger cash. NewNiceMrMe
I think he might have bumped into a few Arsenal fans whilst in France. Let's be honest, that'd be enough to make most people sign for Burton Albion.
