billy2shots
We all know football players aren't the brightest guys in the world. I just think they got their days mixed up and were clearly just voting to exit Europe.

billy2shots
What annoys me is there is no accountability. Yes all the right noises are being made by the players and manager but there isn't any real comeback. Roy resigning is case in point. Resigning from what? You're out of contract. The FA should come out and spell it out. 'We will not be offering a new contract to Roy because he is inept and has possibly the worst tournament record in the history of English managers' Why let him off the hook so easy. I'm not saying I condone the following but if this had happened to Germany, Italy or Spain then fans would have surrounded the stadium keeping the players in the changing room for hours. A few poor ratings in the Mirror are not going to upset the players too much as they head off to their luxury summer holidays.

The FA should come out and spell it out. I'm not going to get into a lot of comment on this as I've wasted enough energy on it on FB. However, the point you raise is one I am immensely pissed off with. If you're paid millions and you fail, and you then read out a pre-prepared statement in a scheduled press conference, and then you simply get up and walk out - you're a complete twat in my opinion. Then, it is made clear by him ignoring all media outside the hotel, he's going to walk without ever saying another word on this. The players have had to front up to the media though and take their dues, rightly so after such a shambolic and disgraceful performance. The FA appointed Hodgson. He has shown himself to be a man who holds no genuine regard for the fans or the country. He is a coward. The FA now need to tell the nation why they feel they should stay in their positions. They cannot be trusted. Or, are they going to publicly criticise his behaviour and issue an apology for the way he has decided he doesn't owe anything whatsoever in the form of explanation? We all know there isn't a genuine explanation, but the position and the rewards have meant he has to stand up to be counted. The man is a disgrace. billy2shots
Roy has just made things worse for me. FA press conference- 'I don't really know what I'm doing here but was told by everybody it was important I appear. I suppose someone has to stand and take the slings and arrows that come with it' De fecking luded, he is a prize test that nobody wanted 4 years ago. His first line was spot on 'I don't really know what I'm doing here' neither did we for the last 4 years . He seems incapable of taking any responsibility, it's astonishing. NewNiceMrMe
Yup, I've just watched it. It is evident he just wants to drift away and forget it all, taking no real responsibility. To then hear Martin Glen say that the team had made progress is just a joke. I expect nothing from the FA and that is one thing on which they never fail to deliver. NewNiceMrMe
I know his role is primarily business orientated but he does pick the next manager.... What chance do we stand?
billy2shots
Unfortunately we know what the number 1 criteria is when choosing the next manager. Must be a yes man who won't rock the boat. I'm trying to think of some decent candidates but am struggling to find a standout. Pardew or Howe have got to be right up there and I might put 50p on Eddie Howe. NewNiceMrMe
I think this was inevitable and I wish him well. He'll not be short of managerial offers and I understood he'd been in talks with Southampton last week until they went for the much more experienced route of that French bloke who's had more successful clubs than Giggsy's had women.
