Hit submit at the precise instant the equaliser went in! Just Clowneo Bravo making things interesting. He must have the worst shots (on target) to goal ratio of any keeper in the top leagues. He has had a woeful time of things. He's not great but he certainly isn't as bad as he appears. You don't have the success he's had with Chile or Barcelona if you are crap. The officials have an agreement in place to disallow any opposition goal that isn't onside by 5yds. Not since the Fergie years have we seen such one sided decisions in favour of Man U. I know all teams get the rub of the green sometimes but this season has been a joke. There was a stat floating around the other day that had 9 United goals that shouldn't have been and 8 opposition goals ruled out that were good goals. Both stats were twice that of the next team in each category. The best one was against Palace where Utd won very late on. There was a cross that found an offside Ibra who handled it to an offside Pogba to score in the 47th minute of the first half. That goal sums up the 'luck' of Utd so far. I personally don't think this Utd side is any better than the Moyes or LVG one despite the cash injection, it's just the decisions were far more 'normal' under those two. Not bitter then, with that empty trophy cabinet of yours. Pep the saviour.

Like Otamendi, Negredo, Dzeko, Fernandinho, Mangala, Tasende, Delph, Nasri, Luis Roza, Garcia, Zinchenko, Bony, Nolito and Moreno at City, you mean? billy2shots
Haha. Years gone by the League Cup was laughed at. It's funny how people change their mind when their team wins it. Good luck in the FA Cup v Chelsea. Win the cup and you will be guaranteed Europa League football again :-) Ibra and Pogba seem to love the Eurpa League, I'm absolutely positive Zlaten will hang around when you fail to qualify for the real European competition. Oh wait... Your list of players is hard to respond to and looks like it's written by a non football fan or one who is out of touch with the sport. It contains 3 young possible stars. 2 are on loan and one who plays Cup matches (Garcia was amazing last night, I think you or garçon commented a couple of months ago about his potential). Another 2 on the list are first team regulars, the first team that are currently deep in the Champions League at the moment. Bony and Mangala failed (mangala may return from loan better, and let's not forget he chose City over Utd). No Lito is a decent squad player and at 30 was bought to play that role. As for Dzeko, he is a club legend. Good goal scoring record. Should we raise the thread back up where we argued who was the better signing. I predicted Dzeko for City and you argued till the cows came home that Darren Bent for Tottenham would better lolololololololol (non fan/out of touch?) Have you also forgotten that 90th minute equaliser against QPR. Miles away Fergie and his topless players were marching over to their fans celebrating then.... .......Aguerooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
NewNiceMrMe
I haven't changed my mind about the League Cup. It is a token trophy, but a trophy nonetheless. United will finish in the top 4. No Europa Cup win is required and the sooner we're out of that competition, the better. I have been saying that from the outset and my view on the tournament hasn't changed. I don't expect United to beat Chelsea either. However, the team and playing style has improved dramatically and at least they've not declared themselves the new Kings and then sat and watch a completely inept Guardiola prove that he's nothing like the manager many thought he was. You know your team is on a downwards spiral when fans are celebrating a 5-1 win against Huddersfield Town...

billy2shots
Grass routes football. My lad is going to be 5 soon and apart from watching me play when he was younger, he hasn't been to a 'proper' match. AFC Bournemouth are 5 minutes away by car but tickets are rarer than a rare thing. So I was on the look out for something different. A was having a few beers with a mate on Saturday who wants to do the same with his lad and he mentioned a team to me. My old bloody team! Granted it was from when I was a nipper but they play literally 4 minutes walk away. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bournemouth_F.C. Bournemouth Poppies are 150 years old and play in the 9th tier of English football. Think Vanarama North and South leagues and they are 2 promotions off that. I can't believe I had forgotten about a team I actually played for. So that's it, my new team that will hopefully bring me and the lad many happy afternoons together (and midweek evenings when he's old enough). So what if the standard isn't great and the 3000 capacity ground looks silly with 30 fans there (last attendance apparently). I'm sure it will be a good introduction for the little man. NewNiceMrMe
10-2. The most humiliating performance by any English club in Europe, ever. They're a complete embarrassment to the game. Spineless, gutless, contemptable creatures masquerading as professionals. Still, we should expect nothing less from Arsenal. Dragging the name of English football through the mud, hedges, slurry and slime year after year. They should bulldoze the stadium and build some kind of memorial to people that matter and give a crap. Let's be honest, anyone will do. garcon magnifique
According to Wenger, the referee was "irresponsible" and "revolting" and the Arsenal players were "brave". Your players were irresponsible and revolting for their abject surrender. They were cowards, guilty of an embarrassing and humiliating abandonment of all responsibility. And the referee was brave for correcting his decision to give Koscielny a yellow. Once the assistant reminded him of the rules, the correct card was shown for denying a clear goal scoring opportuniy with no attempt to play the ball. And yes it was arguably a bit soft, but the push was there, contact was made. Sorry Arsene, I know you have to defend your team and all that, but you just look silly now. And it makes me wonder what you said to the players. Fergie would still be in mid-hairdryer right now, 11 hours on. But then no player in a Fergie team would give up like yours did. S3Bangs
Here's the thing. I've said this before and anyone can roll their eyes at me for being so. I normally support any English team in Europe. I will watch any game involving any English team in any European match and support them whatever, provided its not against the main team I support Liverpool. Last night was bad, so bad that I felt hurt by the humiliation of an English team being thrashed the way they were. I even sent a message to a friend who supports Arsenal at 4-1 up saying to him, this is hard to watch as that's how I felt, not revel in their abject failure. I thought after the game, he would do the 'right thing' and we'd have something similar to what 'Woy' did. Jeez! This guy is extremely stubborn. I'm not one for saying or preaching anyone should lose their job, but honestly. It's time to go Arsene. Not for me or your fans only but for our pride in the English game too. Tipex
Can't really argue with any of that, it is embarrassing, you support who you support though, nothing is going to change that, we aren't Man U fans.
garcon magnifique
We do have a vested interest in all English teams performing well in Europe. I've no idea how the scoring actually works, but we must be getting perilously close to losing our 4th Champions League place. Unless we just buy them these days? That would seem consistent with how the game works now. Actually, I'd be quite happy for us to lose that 4th spot. It'd make the battle at the top of the EPL a bit tastier. As for Wenger, I do believe he has earned the right to complete the season and leave at the end of his contract. Sacking him now won't change anything, certainly in terms of what Arsenal will achieve this season. He might even leave with another FA Cup if they can upset the odds against Lincoln. Tipex
It wasn't that long ago, I can remember the dream team well, Arsene was our hero, the future was ours.... Personally, I don't want to see him sacked, we have a lot to be grateful to him for, but it is time for change, see the season out and don't renew his contract. NewNiceMrMe
They've already put a 2 year deal on the table for him to sign. If they sack him before the summer, it is poor management. Wenger has been weak for a long time now, but the team simply isn't committed enough. Sanchez is going, Ozil too (and he's turned into a total waste of space anyway). If I was Wenger, I'd have gone when the fickle fans turned (10 years ago). He has done enough for the club to be allowed to go gracefully. His legacy is already tainted now but it isn't just his fault. The squad for the last 6-7 years has a lot to answer for, as does the board. Wenger should just go when the season ends and probably take up one of a mass of job offers that will come his way. He achieved a lot but he was never, and will never be, one of the true greats. Ultimately, he never managed to defend a title win. The greats do that. Edited March 8, 2017 by NewNiceMrMe
