Waylander
Luckily Westham would then bail us out a season or so later.
Twinspark
It's like a bad dream. England have lost the Ashes, United are mid-table and Liverpool are top of the league at Christmas. Have I woken up in the mid 80s?
garcon magnifique
I enjoyed the mid 80s.
Luke
Well spurs can't defend but we can now score. We're not that far away in points terms but our defence is weak.
billy2shots
Well spurs can't defend but we can now score. We're not that far away in points terms but our defence is weak. Slow centre backs and full backs that can't defend. Can't see why Spurs have a problem!
Luke
Well now AVB has gone we've gone back to the old Spurs way. We will try and score more goals than we let in!
billy2shots
Enjoyable match to watch though. A bit like city at the moment, who are letting a few in but hitting the back of the net themselves. Football is at the end of the day, entertainment and that's what we as fans are getting. Think of the poor Man U fans who have to put up with the shower of shite their team are putting on at the moment.

I'd be careful of that confidence getting the better of you. The title isn't yours yet. Edited December 22, 2013 by NewNiceMrMe
Luke
Massive game tomorrow night. I'd put a tenner on the Gooners for a win.

garcon magnifique
That's a tenner down the drain, Luke. Chelsea win, no question. According to a viewers poll on MotD last night, Liverpool are more likely to win the title than City...
NewNiceMrMe
I think Chelsea will win today. Probably 0-2. I realise I have now wrecked all hopes of their victory. I'd prefer Arsenal to win because Carzola is in my dream team and Ramsey is too (although I think he's injured?). Actually no, let's have a 6-7 win for Chelsea with Carzola and Ramsey scoring hat-tricks. I don't have a single Chelsea player in my squad but I just can't see Arsenal winning this. I think their early season run of form is starting to show major signs of frailty.

I saw that and burst out laughing. There's nothing like a huge section of the Northwest frantically picking up their stolen wireless handsets and dialling a number 5 times in the belief it might help them win it. Torino101
What a sh#t match. Dull as feck. Have a horrible feeling City are going to win the title at a canter.
NewNiceMrMe
I said that... The result yesterday was a good one for every other club, and my Dream Team did alright out of it too. So I'm happy.
Luke
Spurs appoint Sherwood until end of season and we're only 6 points off the leaders. Spursworld is a strange place. Edited December 24, 2013 by Luke
billy2shots
End of next season Luke. I could understand the situation more if spurs appointed a proven manager but surely AVB would have done as good if not better job than Sherwood will do. Levy must have been really pissed that you are not top of the league given the spending.
Luke
Blimey, I hadn't realised it was the end of next season. Although if he loses three games on the bounce, he'll be gone. It's a refreshing change to see a brand new coach appointed and not the usual names. Sherwood has won the title with Blackburn and is by all accounts a great coach. Think now he's been given the job properly, we could gain some momentum.
NewNiceMrMe
Oh come on! It is an act of nothing more than Levy demonstrating he doesn't have the money to waste more on an expensive manager! Sherwood is on the cheap, on an 18 month contract and that means minimum payout if he has to get rid of him. It is Levy showing that he really has fecked up - badly. Luke
We count ourselves lucky, Moyes had already gone to Utd.
Waylander
Sherwood said he would refuse to take it until end of season so Levy presumably just thought sod it call him out on it and add another 12month salary to his payout until the real candidate is available this summer.
