Excellent result against Napoli, no denying that.  Good result for Chelsea too.

However, and I'm afraid there is a however - I'm amazed at some of the comments.  We are SIX games into a season.

After 6 games last year, and a much easier opening start, Man United were 4 points behind Chelsea.  Everton were second.  WBA were 6th.

It is the short term memory of fans that always makes me laugh.  Disaster at old Trafford, yet only 4 more points off the leaders than we were this time last year - and went on to win the league by 11 points?  That was also a winning margin 14 points ahead of the team we'd been 4 points behind after 6 games...

We are 8 points behind Arsenal.  Who have they played?  Chelsea?  City?  United?  No, just the wannabe's down the road.  The bump and fall to earth is going to be dramatic.

Umm, as I've said, May will come back to haunt many in this thread.... +++

You're pissed. You must be.

City got handed a lesson.

United got a point in the graveyard for so many English clubs against the Russian champions who won the domestic treble last year and consistently reach the second group stage.

Oh hang on, you're a Spurs fan, what would you know about anything East of Dover...

I think Sunderland will get out of it. Yes, I'm feeling a bit weary and daft in the head tonight,

I agree, they might. They're not one of my two.

Good point for United, but it doesn't feel as good having been 1-0 up for most of the match.

I only listened to the radio commentary, but let's not beat about the bush, City had their arses handed to them by the best club side in the world.

Arjen Robben: "I exshpected more from Shitty." :P

Man U were hanging on and will be pleased to have escaped with a point. They're a good side, but look very ordinary. If they progress past the last 8 I'll be amazed. Then they can concentrate on the league and ensure Europa League football for their next manager.

No scumbag Rooney tonight, happy with a point. 3 would have been pushing it anyway after they had a penalty turned down. Our goal (the throw in) was similarly fortunate but evened out by the fact the ref gave them a corner that never was. We took our chance, they didn't. Donetsk will qualify. They're too good not to. We will too.

I agree City were playing an excellent team, but I don't think Bayern will win it.

See Spurs had a convincing win again tonight. Bet Utd wished they could win away in Europe at will. Oh when the Spurs, going marching in.

They've not won a single match in 11.

I have to say though, keep all of this coming, please do.

Because you'll be getting it back in an avalanche later this season.
