Waylander
That would be completely over the top, It would also set a bad precedent that the FA think molesting an official merits less punishment than argy bargy with a player.
NewNiceMrMe
You're having a laugh aren't you? Over the top? He head butted a player. A 10 match Stadium ban would be the least he should get.
garcon magnifique
Headbutt? Feck off. He explained it pefectly well himself. "I pushed the gentleman away with my head." 5 game ban would suffice I think. Unless they consider repeated offences. In which case they might as well just take his coaching licences off him. The bloke really is a head case. 52 year old, apparently wealthy*, professional who behaves like a 15 year old cockney wide boy. (* - or has he still got gambling debts to Ashley?) Waylander
You're having a laugh aren't you? Conversely I still haven't completey worked out how much of your commentary about this is simply to wind up your fellow Geordies.
NewNiceMrMe
He should be banned for life. The club should be closed. The ground should be turned into a car park. The fans should be extradited to a selection of countries that are picked at random but do not include anywhere I may choose to go on holiday. The players should be given to clubs such as Ashington, or Morpeth. Clubs there are already struggling and should also be ejected from the Northern Premier League. I think they'd be getting away lightly with all of the above. Just giving a bit back, just giving a bit back...

Milo
A 10 match ban would be ridiculous but I fully expect it. Why would the FA start viewing things realistically now? If he had properly nutted him (Zidane, Duncan Ferguson etc), then he should've been sacked before the final whistle. As it is, I've seen toddlers go at each other harder than that. It was interesting to listen to Talksport yesterday (well, as interesting as it can be). A lot crap was spoken but also a lot of sense. A general consensus was it maybe time for managers to view games from a better perspective, higher up in the stands in a box, like they do with rugby. NewNiceMrMe
The FA are already talking about moving the managers pitch-side area further back from the field of play. That way, Pardew will have to take a run up. I think they're going to have to dig a ditch and put crocodiles in it to stop him though.

Luke
So what do the Gooners think about Wilshire? Out for 6 weeks after the tackle with Agger and instead of going off, carried on playing with a fractured foot. Not good.
garcon magnifique
Must admit I was surprised he carried on.
Waylander
This was debated on the radio. The physio who treated him is apparently an Arsenal one and also said "bruise" but even so for a friendly he should defo have gone off
NewNiceMrMe
Doesn't make much difference does it? They were never going to win the league and he's not exactly set the world on fire - again.
m4ttm4son
This kind of injury usually has no symptoms after the initial pain, apparently. Everyone thought it was a bruise until he had another scan yesterday. He's not been in great form the last few games, but this is typical really. But don't worry, Kim Kallstrom is just gaining fitness

Waylander
What did that have to do with the price of fish, other that Liverpool were strongly represented on that pitch? Edited March 7, 2014 by Waylander
