Cuprabob
Pardew has received a 7 match ban. First 3 he's banned from the stadium and from the touchline for the remaining 4 £60k fine too. Edited March 11, 2014 by Cuprabob
garcon magnifique
So he'll be back for the last three games. Wonder what Ashley thinks and whether he was waiting for the FA punishment before making a final decision. I think Pardew is permanently damaged goods now, but then he didn't actually get the job for footballing reasons did he?
Calm Chris
Arsenal are going to ..... They will.... And.... (My prediction for tonight)
garcon magnifique
Arsenal go into tonight without the burden of expectation. So there's always that chance they might do something spectacular.

NewNiceMrMe
I love Lee Dixons optimism: "Arsenal have got to look at Bayerns team sheet and see weaknesses." Right Lee.
NewNiceMrMe
The commentary on the Arsenal match is awful. "Delighted to have gone in 0-0 at half time" Really? They're 2-0 down and need to score 2 minimum, 3 to go through! Sometimes I wonder what English commentators class as 'good'. They way they're set up at the moment there is no chance whatsoever of Arsenal winning this - even if they play for the next 5 years.
NewNiceMrMe
And there you have it. Wenger hasn't a clue in Europe, has he? Absolutely woeful.
garcon magnifique
Please tell me again how BT Sport's football coverage is even worse than ITV's. I simply can't believe it's possible.

NewNiceMrMe
Please tell me again how BT Sport's football coverage is even worse than ITV's. I simply can't believe it's possible. That was simply appalling tonight. The worst ITV have ever managed. Twitter seems to think so too (or at least the thousands hammering the commentary do). Quite how 0-0 at HT was 'excellent' I'll never know. Delighted! That's what they said. Jesus wept. Then the excitement when Arsenal scored, well it was pathetic. Anyone who has ever watched a game of football could see it was a classic case of Arsenal being completely controlled by a team doing what they needed to do and nothing more. Townsend isn't normally anything like as bad as tonight, but he's never good either. However.... BT Sport is on another level of shitness entirely. I really do mean that and can't emphasise it enough. I have to watch it on mute throughout the matches now. Jake "I'm completely clueless" Humpty-Dumpty should have stuck to F1 because he is shocking on football. I cancelled once, took it back because I decided I could manage without any commentary at all, and to be honest even the stream is poor and some of the gimmicks are stupid. For decades the world of football has managed with the score shown in the top left corner of the screen. But no, BT move it. Then there is this ridiculous picture-in-picture view of players off the ball. Who cares? I want to see what is happening in a full screen view of the field of play! I hope they lose it the next time around because if they get many more matches it'll be the end of decent quality football coverage. They have taken what Sky has achieved and sent it back 30 years in time. Absolute garbage.

NewNiceMrMe
UEFA pass completion statistics: Bayern, 635; Arsenal, 281 They never tell the full story but if Bayern weren't at half pace then I'm anorexic.
