NewNiceMrMe
I don't want Kagawa anywhere near the pitch. He has been absolutely awful when given a chance, barring one game when he managed 80% of the match. I want to see Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs and Valencia. Don't want Fellaini near the stadium (or Manchester) either. If he must, have Cleverly on the bench with useless Nani and "Save our skin" Januzaj. He should have had Nick Powell back off loan in January and this is why. Oh and I'd also seriously look at blooding Varela. That young lad is a quality footballer with a big future and he'll do a decent job at right back if need be. Buttner is going to play and to be fair I don't think he's done too badly when asked. It is his task to cripple Robben. Rooney and Welbeck up front to start, with Hernandez on the bench. I don't want Young on the pitch unless we're desperate (which means we'll almost certainly see him at some point). I fear it will be down to Chris Smalling to once again humiliate himself on the big stage though. That lad never lets us down when it really matters. He is guaranteed to feck up just when you don't want him to. As reliable as the sun rising and setting. p.s. as you can tell, I'm not looking forward to either of these matches and I am seriously contemplating something more fun to do tomorrow evening. Like pulling my teeth out, or watching the light on a brick fade gradually as the sun sets. I might even join a forum or two and try to annoy some Bayern fans. Shouldn't be difficult. Twinspark
Some valid points, aside from Kagawa. He knows German football and that could make a big difference.
NewNiceMrMe
He knows German football and that could make a big difference. He's Japanese and played in Germany for 2 years. I'm English and went on holiday to the Bahamas once, for 2 full weeks. It doesn't make me a fecking expert on the influx of loyalists to Nassau after the American Revolutionary War had ended in 1783.
Twinspark
But he was one of the biggest stars of the Bundesliga for the 2 years he played - 21 goals in 49 games, winning 2 titles and the cup. I'd say he could make the difference, as he did against Leverkusen.

NewNiceMrMe
Well I think that is the fate of two teams decided in a single match. Sunderland down. West Ham staying up.

Milo
*snigger* The SMBs are in big trouble now. You can have any number of games in hand but if you can't convert them to points, it's irrelevant. They should have been clear of the danger zone by now, in all honesty. There are more than 3 teams who are worse than them. Poyet's decision to leave Adam Johnson on the bench is crazy and tonight, it's cost them 3 points. Don't get me wrong though. It's fricking hilarious
NewNiceMrMe
Poyet's decision to leave Adam Johnson on the bench is crazy and tonight, it's cost them 3 points. I'm glad it wasn't just me thinking that then. I had it on mute so I didn't hear what the 'pundits' were saying, but I started to think I must have missed the reason he wasn't in the starting line up. It was background TV for me tonight but it didn't take much viewing to notice the difference he made in the second half.
NewNiceMrMe
So Twitter is now going stupid with "No Kagawa", after Moyes dropped him to the bench and rightly so in my opinion. Fletcher on the bench too which I don't agree with. Fellaini on the pitch in his place? I definitely don't agree with that. Other than that he's gone with what I expected. -------- Rooney -- Welbeck ------- Giggs- Carrick - Fellaini - Valencia Jones - Vidic - Ferdinand - Buttner ---------------De Gea -------------- Januzaj on the bench. I just wish he'd dropped Fellaini and put Fletcher in. There's no way on this planet Fellaini is anywhere near as reliable as Fletcher.
S3Bangs
I hate to say this. Watching the game and Fellaini. He's bad, really really bad! Bayern are good though...very good

NewNiceMrMe
I have no idea how we got through that, but Welbeck needs a good slap and Fellaini should never wear the shirt again. Defensively we've done stupidly well, but how a man we paid £25m+ for can give the ball away that much I shall never know. We need to get Fletcher on. In fact I'd rather have Kagawa on than Fellaini, at any cost in fact. I still think Bayern were a bit lucky to get away with the disallowed goal. However, apart from that and Welbecks miss we have parked the bus and can't get out (or when we did Fellaini manages to give them the ball back within seconds).
