OT is quite often a quiet ground, the few times I've been it seemed a bit subdued. Last night on the tv it sounded like a great atmosphere. Really noisy. Still not that same as White Hart Lane. Where else can you watch footy and the crowd sing (in all seriousness) Stand up, for the Chas n Dave!!

I'm sure David Brent-on Rodgers won a pint for his "chomping at the bit" comment.

Man U chasing the COC this year then?

One important football fact that Wenger and Arsenal have forgotten.

How to actually win things.

Moyes needs silverware to keep the winning feeling going, and the Capital One Cup will do if the three more important trophies go elsewhere.

Capital One Cup?

It's interesting that you suggest that "even" that Mickey Mouse trophy would be a compensating factor for any club in the top 8.

Arsenal seemed to start the kids factor to the COC a while back and most followed, it's not a full strength team competition or isn't a priority for some managers.

Are you seriously suggesting that failing everywhere and getting the COC would be appeasement for any big teams fan base, let alone a fan base for a team outside top four.

Let's be honest Chri5, after 7 years of nothing you'd kill for Arsenal to win even the ribbons off the C1 Cup, never mind the trophy itself. I doubt United will win it anyway.

I think Pellegrini wants it and I can understand why. Early season silverware does no harm in the end of season run-in and it may help his new team gel. Not that they seemed to have an issue with that last weekend. I just giggle at the naysayers and doom predictions. Been there before.

Anyway, I came to this thread to ask Mr TwinSpark how pleased he was that his much vaunted saviour of United, Shinji Kagawa, got to play most of the match against Liverpool? Delighted? Or, are you now going to admit Moyes may know more than you on the basis of Kagawa putting in an absolutely woeful performance? He was garbage. But, you get what you shout for....

I didn't watch it. I've completely lost motivation to watch anything served up by Gollum.

However, you can't expect the lad to set the world on fire when he's been languishing on the bench since the start of the season.

We have a "trophy stadium" instead of a few cups. Wigan and Birmingham would kill to swap the COC for a spot back in the Premiership, let alone the Champions League +++

If Arsenal had one the Carling Cup in the last few years everyone would be saying how terrible it is that we hadn't won a "major" trophy.

Yes, it hurts not to win a trophy, but the long game is coming into fruition.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Sp*rs can maintain Europa League status if they ever start building a new stadium :roflmao:

Your trophy stadium is like school hall compared to Old Trafford.  It's tiny.  Like your trophy cabinet.

The "long" game?  Holy poo, how long? :roflmao:
