Peterparkin
Hi I have an Audi A8 D3 2004 4.0 TD and looks like there is a loose connection as the near side headlight keeps flickering on and off and I want to check the Plug/wiring at the back of the light unit but no idea how to get to it. (passenger side) Any ideas? Thanks
cruiser647
The passenger side ones should just have a standard cover to remove (clips at the top and then arch away and pull up to remove it - don't drop it). There is bugger all room, so you'll need hands like a child to get in and put them out. It might just be the bulb and/or the inverter (if you have Xenons). Bulbs are about £40+. Not sure about the inverter. You local servicing place should be able to do the honors.
beemerboy9
I have intermittently had a headlight failure warning on my similar car. Indeed the bulb is "out" - but a couple of days later it comes back on again?!. The trick to access the back of the headlight is to remove the air cleaner cover - 2 or 3 screws. It's still a sod! Hope this helps, John

Edd_W
Set the suspension into jack mode. Jack up the front corner and remove the wheel and then remove the wheel arch liner - once you have done that it#s easy and if it's the nearside, you can check the power steering fluid as a bonus at the same time!
