Mook
I've got a race in the Lakes on the Saturday and Yorkshire on the Sunday, so night before is fine with me. Don't care where
E-bmw
Sorry to seem like a fussy/picky/pedantic tw@t but here goes. When this comes off it would be good if we were all together, my personal opinion is that this is true of the accomodation too. That way we can have a bit of fun on the night and arrive in a timely manor on the day and make the most of the time/event/previous organisation by TDK etc. To do this I think an early consensus of where to stay for the night before/and/or/after would be helpful, based on the principal that if we are booked up early we are assured of getting what we want from the event. Now, whilst I have no intention of leaving myself financially exposed in this process, I have no problem with helping out as I am local (ish) and may have helpful information to assist, and the time to do a bit of homework too. To make sure this is used as efficiently as it can be some feedback/opinions would be helpful to us ALL. To this end I am now about to (give me a bit while I do it) start a separate thread for all/any opinions so that I can best help us all come to a consensus. Tipex
Well, you'll all have to wait for another time to find out what i'm like from the mrs, as i've booted her off the team, and replaced her with James, who's been given permission so long as he's back for his mrs b'day! Tipex
There was an XR4i on Ebay the other day, not seen one of those for years. It wasn't completely original though, it had a V8 under the bonnet.

patently
That's great - with the number of Alfas and TVRs that have signed up now, we actually stand a decent chance of seeing one of them at the circuit

Tipex
And proven to be wrong, if it be remembered for nothing else, the Scumball rally proved that the 'reliable' German and Japanese marques will invariably explode, while the Alfa will not only set the fastest lap time, but be faultlessly reliable too! theduisbergkid
Ha! The two Alfas are classic GT's, 1969ish vintage, they've been permitted to enter under the cougar rule.
theduisbergkid
Just had a lovely call from my old mate "The Baron". He has just bought the Jaguar XJS-C manual 'box, and would like to join us. I say the XJS-C manual because I can't imagine anyone else in the world owning one. His arrival will be announced by a waft of cigar smoke and the fear he has gotten your wife/daughter/secretary pregnant just by looking at her Edited February 14, 2014 by theduisbergkid

garcon magnifique
With luck, sometime next week I will have an indication as to the budget and nature of the vehicle (i.e. toy or only car!). I have a definite leaning towards something that will fit a mattress...
