Calm Chris
Could someone help? iPad user- If I have pictures on my iPad they are easy to upload via the attach files at the bottom of the page. IPad user- If I have managed (on the desk top) to upload photos to a gallery, how do you then extract those pictures on to a post? I can see them, but can't find a method to extract BCC code, or even copy paste. Generally the newer vB seems to have gone backward as far as pictures upload and picture management. Is it the vB or is it the user?
Torino101
Aside from hosting images elsewhere and then placing a link here, I massively struggle with pictures on here. Are you able to upload pictures from harddrive or do they have to be externally hosted in order to display them in a post? Someone needs to do an idiots guide....... Andy_Bangle
The forum isn't powered by vB, it's now IP.Board and mobile users can't post their gallery photos into a post. Edited March 31, 2014 by Andy_Bangle
Andy_Bangle
@Torino101 This button will allow you to insert an image. AttachmentsDepending on where in the community you are posting your message at, you may be able to upload attachments to your message. There are two types of uploaders available: the default uploader and the flash uploader.Default UploaderThe default uploader allows you to upload attachments one at a time. To begin, press the button. A box will appear for you to select the file on your computer that you want to attach. Select the file you want to upload. If you change your mind, you can press the button and then choose a different file.Once you have selected the file you want, press Attach the file.If there are any errors uploading the file, you will receive an error message, otherwise, you will see the attachment appear.Flash UploaderYou can enable the flash uploader from your settings menu. When enabled, you will be able to easily upload more than one file at a time.To start, press Click to Attach Files. A box will appear for you to select the file or files on your computer that you want to attach. Select the file or files you want to upload. You can select more than one file at a time by holding Ctrl (on Windows) or Command (on Mac) and click on the files.Once you have selected your files and clicked "Open", they will begin uploading. If there are any errors uploading the files, you will receive an error message, otherwise, you will see the attachments appear.Managing AttachmentsRegardless of which uploader you use, once the files are uploaded you will see them on your screen. By default, all attachments are added to the bottom of your message, however, you can add any attachment to a particular section of your post by pressing the "Add to Post" link.If you wish to remove an attachment and have it not appear in your post, simply press the "Delete" link. Torino101
Thanks Andy, This button I was aware of, however it only gives me the option to place a URL address there, not to upload an image that is stored on my local machine. Is that correct?
Andy_Bangle
Got ya, what you need in that case is 'Attach Files'. To see this you need to click on "More Reply Options" next to the post box Edited March 31, 2014 by Andy_Bangle

Calm Chris
The forum isn't powered by vB, it's now IP.Board and mobile users can't post their gallery photos into a post. Useful, as is a bucket with a hole.
Tipex
Useful, as is a bucket with a hole. It's a pain in the a*se, if I want to post up a pic while i'm out and about (which is where most pictures are taken), I have to email it to myself, so when I get home I can fire up the laptop, download the pic, then upload it to TSN/Flickr etc. It's one of the only reasons I ever use the laptop these days, and hence I normally can't be arsed to do it, i've got a load of pics on my phone that I thought TSN'ers might find interesting/amusing, but will never upload because it's too much hassle. It was dead simple on Tapatalk, and I still prefer the Tapatalk interface, shame.
Andy_Bangle
You can change the Theme on IP.Board to IP:Board Mobile - but it isn't any better, just less picture intensive.
