cruiser647
Just watching this and the players have been taken off due to the weather. Bit of thunder and lightning. Was about to complain, that they take the players off, but the leave the crowd! They've just shown the big screen telling the crowd they can go into the stadium! Edit to add - watching the 3 'experts' chatting - can't ITV afford to give them a microphone each? Edited June 7, 2014 by cruiser647
Calm Chris
How poor was the game, woeful is the most appropriate adjective.
NewNiceMrMe
Atrocious. Appalling. Disgraceful. At least it'll not last long.
garcon magnifique
I actually fell asleep just as they were restarting. You'd have thought that atmosphere might have added a bit of a spark to the performance... Key things for a final warm up game were no injuries, no stupid goals conceded, a couple of good chances that didn't go in - maybe they'll get the luck when it matters, My outlook on England's prospects is exactly the same as it was when the squad was announced. Haven't seen anything in the friendlies to change that.
cruiser647
How poor was the game, woeful is the most appropriate adjective. Yep, so poor the weather was the only thing to talk about! Talking to other people, many only watched the first half - as I did.
NewNiceMrMe
The viewing figures now out for the second half are awful. Audience fell by 75%. Still, Grandad Roy says we're on good form. Feck.
garcon magnifique
Not sure I count as a viewer. The telly was still on but I was fast asleep.

NewNiceMrMe
There's a much better statistic now. The viewing figures rose in the immediate 5 minutes after play was suspended.

Storm watchers for you! Even though they didn't show anything of the storm. Edited June 10, 2014 by cruiser647
garcon magnifique
I saw a better storm for real today. Over Preston. The ****er followed me down the M61 too. Rain drops the size of footballs. And proper lightning.
NewNiceMrMe
I was driving down from Glasgow on the M74 when it started. However, it really opened up on the A69. The lightning was distant but the rain was impressive. The HGV's driving past on the other side of the road at 60 mph weren't as impressive with the waves they created....
