bells0
Anybody use it, and if so, any good? Cancelled Sky tv over 3 months ago and not really missed it as tend to watch terrestrial tv. Had Netflix for a while now, and once we watch the rest of Orange is the new Black S2, may have exhausted what that can offer. So was thinking of trying Now Tv - £34.99 for the wireless player and 6 months access to the Entertainment package. Mainly so i can watch Game of Thrones and keep up with the office chat about it!! But also the new series of 24. Worth getting? Chap at work is trying to talk me into getting a rasberry pi with xbmc and download, naughtily.................... bells0
Seems GOT seasons 1-3 aren't even on it, been pulled. Shall not bother!
CarMad
But they are now on Amazon TV apparently instead strange. I use it for the Movies only, been really good to watch a few good recently released films for not much money really. Also you can get the box for £10 and just use it as a streaming box for the basic TV channels and add the Plex client to it as its essentially a Roku box under the covers. Andy_Bangle
GOT is a HBO product and HBO have their own TV & streaming channels so want to keep it to 1) themselves and 2) the highest bidder (Amazon outbid Sky). Once they've hit their targets then the show will start to appear on other streams & Sky Boxsets. I'd either by the basic box at £10 or a Roku, then subscribe to content as you want. I have a couple of Roku's, Chromecast and another media player all streaming streaming content from via Plex to and from my iPad/iPad/Nexus and various TV's around the house. bells0
Cheers chaps - ordered a standalone for £9.99 with £2 topcashback yesterday. Looks like it comes with a 3 months free trial of the movies package which will be pretty cool. Will attempt to sideload Plex too now i've sold my old Mac mini and stream from my macbook. This and an apple tv with netflix subs should keep me busy for a while!

bells0
Sweet!! Wonder if they track IP addresses?
Tipex
Doesn't matter, as with Netflix etc, you can log in wherever you want in the world, it's not like Sky which is tied to a single address and digibox. They wouldn't know, or probably even care that your mum didn't happen to be in the house at the time.
Andy_Bangle
They won't care about about the IP, with Sky Go you can share (or sell) an account
Tipex
We share on line services between the family, for example, I pay for Netflix, my brother pays for Sky Go, sister pays for Lovefilm etc, we just use a common log in for them all and share them.
