M8CKN
My son has been given an Iphone 4s locked to Tmobile, his contract is with three and unfortunately he has an abysmal Lumia at the minute. The iphone is all above board and was given by my friend. Can we get it officially unlocked or does it have to go to a backstreet “wee buy any phone no questions asked" place? Andy_Bangle
I'd avoid a backstreet job in case they clone your phone, get the previous owner to unlock it with EE http://ee.co.uk/help/getting-started/joining-ee/unlocking-your-phone Edited June 16, 2014 by Andy_Bangle
Tipex
I think Apple will unlock it for a fee, you might have to have a trade account with them, but a friend of Mrs T has a phone shop, and he unlocked her 4S for her officially via iTunes. It's worth a look.
NewNiceMrMe
I hope T-Mobile are better at the process than O2 are. Utter nightmare when we did it or a phone Milo purchased.
Andy_Bangle
he unlocked her 4S for her officially via iTunes. That's how it's done, via iTunes, you pay EE 20 quid and they do the rest. The 4S is the most secure model, it's encryption hasn't been broken yet.
