M8CKN
Le Tour comes through my village next Saturday, really looking forward to seeing this in person. The whole village is shut for a "family day" too, bbqs, bars open from 11am, bands playing etc.

eldavo69
My mum's been involved in the world bunting record attempt when it goes through Hebden Bridge and up Cragg Vale. Her bunting is advertising her Cookware shop in Hebden Bridge
garcon magnifique
Will be watching in/near Otley on Saturday. Fully expecting hours of chaos for about 3 minutes of colourful blur as they speed by in a single peleton.

Andy_Bangle
So many people, the pub garden was so rammed we ended up going across the road to the coop to buy our beers instead of waiting 40 mins at the bar
bells0
Attempted to get to Ilkley on the train [less than 10 miles away] with the 2 kids but the queues were mental - so tuned back home. Shame the wifey was working and i was in charge of the young 'uns, could have easily cycled down to Pool/Otley to watch. Watching on tv made me rather proud of where i live! garcon magnifique
Spectacular, and again today. I don't envy them going over Col de Holme Moss today... it scares me in the car!
Jez
Was great to see even though it was over in a flash, I was down the other end of Otley, totally mobbed all day and looked quite messy in the pubs later in the evening.:-)

We were with kids so no beer involved, managed to avoid the road chaos and get across to Skipton to see some friends for the evening. They'd watched the Tour then sat in the garden for the afternoon. They were all battered by the time I got there!
Scotty
I took a conference call sitting on a grass verge down an Essex lane. It was nicely timed between the caravan coming through and the actual race. Amazing how many vehicles are involved. Still seems a bit surreal that the Tour De France has come along road that I rode my bike along many years ago. I chose not to mix it with the crowds and met up with my Father. Even made it on to the telly Essex looked pretty good today. Maybe some will open their eyes and realise it's not just Dagenham, Southend and TOWIE. Andrew
Had the ITV coverage on today - the commentators had the annoying habit of picking out London landmarks, telling a fact about them, only for us to be told, almost verbatim, exactly the same thing again by the other commentator. It was very odd. They were quite specific facts too.
