It is interesting that (on my feed at least) it is only ever Android users that posts links to stories like that above.

You never see Apple users posting negative links to Android devices, and lets not kid ourselves that Android devices never have flaws.

Obviously it doesn't apply to everyone, and lots of people choose Android or Windows for their own perfectly good reasons, but it's seems to be the less well off people who are so quick to stick the knife in to Apple at any opportunity, so I do believe there is an element of truth in Garçons comment above.

I have a Windows phone because we're given them by work, I think it's a great OS, more stable than Android, more flexibility than iOS it's just the app store that lets it down a bit but it's getting a lot better. The last release (8.1) was a massive improvement as well. I just enjoy watching the Android and Apple users nag at each other and can sit here in my little corner with Waylander laughing at you all. +++

Regarding Android stability, I don't think that's actually an issue any more, our Nexus tablet has been running the latest version of Android for a while now, and aside from making it charge painfully slowly, it's actually pretty good.

It has to put up with my 3 kids thinking they know more about it's OS than I do, and consequently messing about with settings and god knows what, not to mention constantly downloading games from god knows where of varying degrees of quality, and filling the memory up completely at least once a month.

And despite that, it's not crashed or frozen one single time, which is more than I can say for my iPhone 4 since 'upgrading' to iOS 8.

I think the problem with Android, is with all the 3rd party crap that manufacturers and networks stick on, if they could just leave it as 'naked' Android, it'd be much better.

Pretty much i sums it up i think. My Z2 doesnt seem, to me, to be too overloaded with crap. Ive uninstalled some useless Sony stuff, installed quite a lot on it, two different launchers, and theres not a hint of performance issue, lag or slowdown compared to how it arrived. Still slick and quick on 4.4.2

I think it's a frustration from Android users that there is a feeling that Apple purchasers have done little to no research into what the capabilities of a new Apple product are (doesn't apply I know to a lot of users on here) and are simply purchasing 'because it's a new Apple product'.

Then on top of that, as a generalisation the less tech savvy owners of Apple products will proclaim to anyone that will listen that their product is the best 'because it's Apple' with no knowledge at all as to alternative products....

The Daily Mash has summed it up perfectly, again:

http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/business/anything-bends-if-you-fk-about-with-it-enough-says-apple-2014092591063

Anything bends if you f**k about with it enough, says Apple

APPLE has admitted its new iPhone will bend if you are determined to bend it.

The company has been inundated with complaints from iPhone customers, but stressed it was impossible to make something that does not, ultimately, bend.

A spokesman said: “If you don’t want it to bend then don’t ****ing sit on it. How’s about that?

“And, actually, if it didn’t bend then the screen might crack and you’d end up with tiny shards of glass up your back passage. That’s no picnic.”

The spokesman added: “Tell you what, shall we just put a sticker on the front that says ‘not for sitting on’? Would that help, you ****ing idiots?”

What confuses me is, the Mash has been going for ages now.  Why haven't we hunted down the people who write it and put them in charge of the country?

:roflmao:

One of my mates, a hardened Android fanboy, posted a link to the bendy iPhone story.

I responded with a link to the Daily Mash story.

Almost immediately, he jumped to his defence by quoting the part of the story that says Apple have been "inundated with complaints", adding 'all those customers are wrong are they?'

Clearly he hadn't even read the story, and didn't seem to realise it was a spoof! :roflmao:
