garcon magnifique
A common argument from Android users seems to be that theirs is more flexible. Not any more it isn't.
Andrew
Just seen a Plus at Heathrow. My oh my, it is big. The 6 is a lovely thing though; roll on March/April when I can upgrade.
bells0
I have a Windows phone because we're given them by work, I think it's a great OS, more stable than Android, more flexibility than iOS it's just the app store that lets it down a bit but it's getting a lot better. The last release (8.1) was a massive improvement as well. I just enjoy watching the Android and Apple users nag at each other and can sit here in my little corner with Waylander laughing at you all. I'm glad i've moved to 8.1 with my new Nokia 930. Would have loved to upgrade my iP5 to a 6, but not a chance at £619. May have another look when the 6S comes out next year, but for now i'm loving playing with Windows 8.1. Still have my iPad3 for IOS8 and any apps i can't get on the Nokia.
Waylander
Indeed. 8.1 was a big leap in terms of gripes with phone functionality (split volumes etc). Still a way to go like being able to turn off (say) notification sounds but leave ringer volume (you can actually do this per app buy irritatingly then have to re-enter what tone you used for that app - it doesn't remember it.... the sharing internet history etc with windows 8.1 on tablet /desktop is cool too (if a little scary as kids have the tablet....) Frigging Android tablet does that with Chrome, had to turn it off after Mrs T almost got a full list of her birthday presents. Riiiiiight, yes I'm not arsed about the porn, well, not regarding the mrs anyway, don't want the kids finding it obviously, she's a sensible woman, it'd be stupid to assume a bloke doesn't look. billy2shots
Fecking eBay. Thought I sold my iPhone 5 this morning but the person has no feedback and is fishing for my details rather than just paying through pay pal. Wants me to send "'her' my account number etc but from my email to 'hers'. Anything built on trust is ruined these days.
bells0
Yup that's why i sold mine to Mizuma last night - only got £160 for it though [unlocked 16gig]. The hassles of ebay and the fees is a massive turn off for me now.
Tipex
Ordered a 64G 6 in space grey yesterday, not sure when it's going to arrive, but does anyone have any case recommendations? I use a 12 West BookBook case on my 4s, and it's done a sterling job, there isn't a mark on it, and it keeps it looking anonymous in the car too incase any dodgy passengers take a liking to it. I'm thinking a 6 in a BookBook case might just be a bit bulky though, so any advice?
bazza_g
I found my 'lost' iPhone 5 yesterday - shot out from under the driver seat when I had to brake a bit hard yesterday. iOS 8.0.2 on the 6 Plus has cooked the bluetooth in the car again - guess I'll have to do another "reset all settings" and re-enroll TouchID, wifi, wallpaper, passwords etc - if thats the solution *every* time there's a minor iOS update I will not be a happy customer... Scotty
Aside from the IOS issues, how is life with a 6 plus? I honestly thought you'd be getting shot of it.
bazza_g
Have had no offers for it! When I posted on Facebook asking if anyone wanted it all I got was a few offers for my old iPhone 5 Am using it but maintain its too big - doesn't even fit in jeans pocket without sticking out. On the plus side, the screen is so good it may make my iPad I take travelling (for boxsets etc) redundant...
cruiser647
Shooting it might be better. Now they are bigger, it's an easier target.

They're superb quality leather and whilst not cheap at £80, they're well worth it and look and feel excellent.
Tipex
Jesus, OS 8 is a fecking nightmare on a 4S, if you haven't already, don't do it! Laggy, slow, and I mean really slow, crashes a lot. Some apps worse than others, Facebook is completely unusable. On that note, anyone know if there is a 3rd party Facebook app? App store won't even download the proper Facebook app now, just fails every time, in fact it doesn't even start. I deleted it thinking a fesh install might help, but no, now i'm Facebookless!
