But of course, heaven forbid anyone wait until its actually in a shop and go and *gasp* physically pick one up and hold it.

If only id had a paper template to see how big my car was before i bought it, id have realised it wouldnt fit in the garage.

There will be people who wait until they can physically hold the phones. Those people will then find they can not take a phone home with them and will have to wait for more phones to be made.

I would love to see some stats after tomorrow's pre order system opens. Tens of thousands of orders? None of whom have had the chance to see the phone in the flesh. Looking at a template may help some decide so what's the big deal?

I neither understand the desperation to own a new gadget the day it is released nor the notion of spending so much on such an important item without being able to see, handle and try it first. But I accept probably millions of people see that as a somewhat archaic outlook.

Whatever. I'll buy one when I can see it in the shop. If I buy one. In the meantime, I have enough imagination to understand how big 5.5" is.

It's about half the length of my cock.

I've gone handset outright purchase this time, with the SIM from 3 on a deal that Milo spotted.... +++

I am now deeply unpopular in our household though, cos' I've just told the rest of them that they'll have to wait....cos' their contracts aren't up until March. :roflmao:

I can't decide between silver and space grey, i'm swinging towards space grey.

Not that it'll make any difference, it'll spend it's life in a case anyway.

As for the 3 network, it's frankly impossible to say how you'll get on with it, here, the coverage is average, EE is by far the worst, and O2 the best, but it varies so much around the country that it's meaningless really.

As for customer services, I've never really had to use it with any of the providers, 3 were pretty good when I was going to leave, they price matched Giff Gaff so I stayed, and now pay £12/month for unlimited data/texts, and more minutes than I ever use.

I almost ordered a space grey 64GB normal size just now, but I've had a lot to drink, and Mrs T compfistated the laptop, put it in her car and burgered off to work with it.

All I said was I might as well round it off to an even 1k by adding a retina iPad mini.

Little does she know, I was also about to crick on a Macbook Air, as i'll need something half decent to edit my GoPro videos on.
