HP to Split Again..

I see in the news that Hewlett-Packard is splitting itself into two companies and shedding 55,000 jobs in the process.  HP Inc. will concentrate on Printers and PCs and HP Enterprise will concentrate on Servers, Services, Networking and Cloud computing.  I remember when the HP technical and medical instrumentation business was spun off into Agilent in 1999, don't know how well they are doing now as you never hear about them.

Not seen the 55k jobs figure. That may include reductions already under way.

Final desperate act of a ruined company.

It's no great consolation to know I got out at the right time when so many friends are still there.

Agilent has changed again, now known as Keysight Technologies. Heaven knows how much all these branding changes cost.

They're in about the fourth circle of legal hell.  A few more circles to go.  

 

If it comes to court in the US, HP will win through the usual American protectionism.  If it came to court in the UK, they'd be laughed out the building.

 

You can't fúck up your due diligence and then accuse the company you bought of fraud.
