drpellypo
I've been asked to set up a system for a community group who would like to allow people to 'dial in' to view a meeting over the Internet. It will be one way. So people at home connect, and can view and hear, but don't participate. I'm told at most there will be 8 people dialing in. There is a PC on site, and they are getting broadband put in. They would be happy with audio only (they currently have a phone line that people can ring in to and have a switch thing that holds open the phone line and links it into the sound system) but they are wanting to use the Internet for this as an alternative and perhaps add the facility for people to see, rather than iust hear, what's going on. Are there any packaged solutions to this, perhaps where people can load a website etc? The people dialing in have computers, but are, shall we say, quite old, so im thinking skype etc may be a bit complicated. Any help greatly appreciated! NewNiceMrMe
Google Hangouts. Up to 12 people. Free. Recorded output to YouTube too if you want it. Video can be switched off. Files can be sent at the same time of conferencing. Messages can be typed. Photo's taken, whatever. Easy peasy, problem solved.
