garcon magnifique
Excellent news. It's only about 7 years too late.

garcon magnifique
Well I'm sure there will be differing opinions, but in the view of the huge majority of Oldham fans I know it is good news, and an opportunity for a new start for the Trust. eldavo69
It strikes me that the footballing community are happy to take him back but the fans aren't. Probably because Ched (seriously, WTF sort of name is that anyway?) has a lot in common with a lot of footballers, the difference is that he got caught. Whilst I agree with his right to earn a living through playing football I can't help but think that the media furore that surrounds any whisper of him joining a club and the backlash from the fans would make this (currently) untenable.
CarMad
Money, many clubs want to win and the rest just want to survive, if they think he gives them a chance of either they will look at what he has to offer unless the downsides outweigh the positives. Yes thats heartless but many elements of business are, and football is as much a business as it is a sport these days and it has been for a long time. eldavo69
If he's that good why had I never heard of him until recently then?
CarMad
He isn't great but he will be on offer for a bargain price and for that many a club that normally wouldn't be able to afford him will be interested and he will boost their bottom line more than they will feel it will cost them or there abouts. Except as we all know he is causing more damage to those clubs that are interested so the first element is then voided so he is still not playing football and I really can't see anyone employing him anytime soon. If he got cleared post the case review then he has a chance.
patently
We're assuming, of course, that the only job he can get is footballing. That might not be the case. I think Tesco have some shelves that need stacking?
CarMad
They are closing which ever store wants to employ him, apparently he has asked at 46 so far....

garcon magnifique
I think I read somewhere something about him being a decorator. Presumably he'll follow another decorator around painting things a different colour irrespective of the customer's wishes.
Soulboy
I know nothing about the case, so am not going to add much. Just, the old debate of whether prison is supposed to be about punishment or rehabilitation, or both. I was under the opinion that nowadays it's supposed to be more about the latter. cruiser647
Oldham should have signed him a few days ago, when the world's media was busy.
