QuattroStorm
Hi everyone, I have just purchased my 1st Audi A8L 4.2 Quattro D2 2002 (facelift). The first problem I have are the front foglights; when I try to switch them on by the switch nothing happens... But,when I switch the rear fog lights on.. The front & rear come on together... Is the problem likely to be the foglight control module? My 2nd problem is the front & rear parking aid doesn't work... When I select reverse I just get a continuous bleep for about 5 seconds then nothing.... I hope someone somewhere can help with my problems!!!!! Andy_Bangle
The continuous bleep is an error code, warning you of a fault. It could just be a broken sensor which is very common - water often gets in the them. I had to replace 2 sensors on a 3 year old BMW. If you have access to VAGCOM you maybe able to see if one is broken, a garage can do this for you too or put car in reverse and go around sensors listening for a clicking noise. The sensor which does NOT click is the broken one. Sensors are fairly cheap off ebay but you need to find the correct p/n as there are several different types. TOPTIP: ideally have someone else in the car before you stick you head behind when it's in reverse.

QuattroStorm
Hi Andy, thanks for the info on mi parking sensors.. I tried putting mi ear near the sensors like you said, & ended up hitting my head on the garage door due to the wife sitting in the drivers seat... "Why she took the handbrake off while in reverse with the engine running, I'll never know!!!!" Next time I'll ask somebody else to sit inside the car!!!! Thanks for replying to 1 of my problems I really appreciate your help...
