S3Bangs
Seriously though. I would say. Definitely go for Pro Nav and Harman Kardon. That would be my starting point. That would cover items 6AK - 6AR and is also nicer than your basic nav
Andy_Bangle
A lot of STD's in that list.. You must be quite the expert
NewNiceMrMe
I would bother with the HK sound. I don't think it is worth the money. If audio means a lot to an owner then I think they're better off going to an aftermarket audio specialist and upgrading the system speakers. My standard setup isn't great, however the one in the wifes car is really good wouldn't touch it though I'm not entirely sure what she has got mind. NewNiceMrMe
The BMW Loudspeaker Professional option is the best value in my view. A huge improvement over the normal system but a hell of a lot less than HK (you'd know if she had HK because of the badges they plaster on the speakers). You may well find that is what she's got in her car. We have it in both the 5 series and the X6 and it is one of the first boxes we tick (I think it has been on any new BMW we've ever had). garcon magnifique
What's sensible spec M2 going to cost? £50k? You could be in an M4 for ten grand more than that. Or a ten month old well spec'd M235i for twenty grand less. How big is the 2 compared to an E92 3 series coupe? If I was, erm, hypothetically looking. Which I'm not. Maybe. NewNiceMrMe
I hadn't looked at pricing. £45,000. Holy poo. That's a very nice 2014 BMW M5 with less than 25k on the clock....
garcon magnifique
Thing is, if you can spend £45k on a used M5, you can probably (maybe) afford a brand spanking new M5 with 0% finance. If you're good at man maths.
Andy_Bangle
€50k as a guess, will be the price of load M235i but a bit more special. Maybe. It would be a very bare M4 for £60k. As I said above, the 2-er is the same size as the e46 3-er. That's a very nice 2014 BMW M5 with less than 25k on the clock.... But i've had an M5 and I don't want/need anything as big/heavy/mental as the M3/M4. For the same sort of money i'm in a 5 year old 911 , but I've a couple of porkers before and the running costs will higher even if it's only going to be a Sunday car.

Andy_Bangle
As you can see it's pretty much what was expected: 370hp with manual or automatic. But what I find most interesting is the 35kg (77lbs) weight loss from the M235i. So from that article: - 3300 lbs - Lift reduced by 35% - Extra water cooler - 0-60 in 4.5 with 6MT, 4.3 with DCT - More expensive than the Audi RS3
CarMad
Rather expensive but it could be a cracking car, right size and plenty of poke. I wonder if they have got a decent sound out of it with the turbo.

CarMad
Shhhh! Its less fun sitting in the bank you know. I'd have a Cayman now if it wasn't for the small problem of a wife, oh and a little boy oh and and erm oh yeah the smaller thing a girl yeah its a girl. They are great fun but such a drain on resources . Mind I will be taking the little man to Oulton for the first time next year, he can then help me to work on his Mum to free up funds!
