which Tablet around the £100 mark?

Whatever you do, don't buy the Tesco screen protectors they have reduced the price of.

Ours made the screens annoyingly unresponsive, they've settled in better now after a few months (I refused to take them off as they are for the kids), and the kids don't notice, but I still notice when I use them, it's a very common issue and probably why Tesco are clearing their stock of them!

The big rubberised case things are very good though, they've saved ours from a couple of drops and give you something to hold on to as well, and the colour match is perfect (we have one pink and one blue Hudl2).

I acquired a new Asus 8 inch tablet recently. Quite highly rated in its price bracket £100+. Absolute carp!

Dead slow to boot up, dead slow to use, constantly switches itself off and drains battery unbelievably quickly.

However, may have unrealistic expectations as my Galaxy S6 phone seems to do everything faster than you can think.

Agree with everyone that ipads are the best tablets by a mile.
