cabby
I've somehow set my sons iMac up such that he can see the names of websites others in the house are browsing (MacBook Pro, iPhone etc) when he uses command-tab. Cannot find out how I've enabled hence cannot turn off! Any ideas folks?
Mac
You must be logged in on the machines using the same iCloud account. Preferences/iCloud, turn off Safari. See here. Edited August 31, 2015 by Mac

cabby
Cheers Mac - seems to have sorted things. Quite scarey how much visibility of others browsing, messages etc. this gives if turned on!
Mac
Well the idea is that you only use your own iCloud accounts in your own login, rather than share them amongst users. Makes moving from one machine to another seamless.
Tipex
Chrome does that too, I have to be very careful hiding purchases of presents etc from the mrs/kids, as they can see what you've been looking at on their tablets. Obviously porn too.
Mac
Again, on Chrome, you'll be logged in with the same account and sync'ing.
NewNiceMrMe
Chrome/Google accounts can be kept completely free of browsing data, sharing and ads based on activity. All can be removed from real-time logging.
Tipex
Again, on Chrome, you'll be logged in with the same account and sync'ing. Yup, that's what happens, I have them all logged in under my name in case I want to pay for any apps or whatever, it's just easier that way. Same with YouTube, all their tablets, X-Box etc log in to my YouTube account (which I think is actually now Google as well), it's quite funny reviewing some of the videos they upload, and then deleting them, I just wish they'd stop subscribing me to fecking Minecraft channels, I get about a million notifications a day from DanTDM whoever he is, or channels where people unwrap Kinder Eggs. Mac
Pretty sure you can decide what syncs.

Google bought YouTube a very long time ago. Must be 10 years now. It is all completely configurable in respect of what is shared, what data is held, across what devices, etc. The connection between Google+ and other channels is all changing again anyway. Google One, as a single login system, is being dismantled. You will no longer share content by default under a single login. The official and highly embarrassing climb-down was published in a blog post by Google well over a month ago. They tried, desperately, to put a positive note on it, but it hasn't fooled anyone. It is a massive change in policy for them in light of a collapse of their user activity expectations. Google+ has failed. Horrendously. garcon magnifique
I've got four connections or circles or whatever they are. I think that pretty much accounts for the entire Google+ community.
