Lol. Quite possibly, bit underwhelming in many respects.

The iPad Pro looks good if you like carrying a table around, although in seriousness I'm sure there's a few on here it will appeal to and I can understand why, the traditional laptop is slowly dying now.

As for the iPhone, I like the 3D touch, I like the taptic feedback, I'm not sure about 'Live Photos' I'm fairly sure they are what we already call 'videos'.

However, none of those are enough for me to want to upgrade, I'll be more than happy to skip the 6s and wait for the 7, I don't feel I'm missing anything.

The Pen, wouldn't have a use for that personally, can see it's potential though, although the irony of Apple releasing a stylus after they slated them so much in the past isn't lost on me.

Watch, still nothing that appeals to me, the app for doctors looked incredibly good though, trouble is in reality they would probably never be able to use it, unlikely to be approved by the NHS or whoever needs to agree it.

I did find their comment about something like 98% of watch owners being happy with their purchase somewhat desperate though.

I've not seen any of it, although I've heard about the Apple Pen, a.k.a. a stylus, which Steve Jobs said shouldn't happen and apparently they've made an iPad like the Microsoft Surface.

More of the same, I'm afraid. Apple has lost all interest for me since I went Samsung phone and tablet.  Thing is, it's the apps that determine how you use a device - and the Samsung kit is SO much cheaper than the Apple stuff and the Galaxy is now out-selling the iPhone.

I've no interest in an iPad Pro and I've got about a year to run on my phone contract so the 6S isn't of much interest to me either.

The lack of an iPad Air 3 wasn't a surprise.  I was holding off replacing my poorly iPad as there was the possibility of a new model but I'll get an iPad Air 2 instead then.

Wifey just changed to a 6 this week. Could have waited i suppose but the features of the 6S would probably be wasted on her. Her 5 was dying a short battery life death so she's happy enough.

My contract is up in May, not sure if I'll come back to Apple or not, her 6 is nice. I know a lot of people want the new shiny but the same shiny if you know what i mean. I want new AND different, especially if im chucking some £ at a handset too. I might give Samsung a bash or try something else.

Is it now a completely normal progression to go from an iPhone x to the next version?  I know a lot of mobile providers offer contracts with X per month and a "free" phone (regardless of make).

I looked at a Samsung because it had a bigger screen and the camera was much better quality than the iPhone 5S I had.  Moving everything over from the iPhone was dead easy.  I'm not saying you're all mental for having an iPhone, I'm just curious.

Edit - scratch the not all mental, because you're on here, obviously :P

Everyone has their own individual preferences, my FIL is a tech junkie and hands down a lot of his kit as he buys the latest and greatest, means we have an iPad 1, 2, 2x3's, and an Air in our house. We also have a few android based tablets. The Apple machines are worlds apart from the android based tablets. Infinitely better especially when it comes to screen responsiveness.

However when it comes to phones, I'll always take the latest android offering. I like the operating system on android phones and the top end android phones generally at any given moment are always superior to the latest iPhone in virtually every way.

I'll keep my iPhone 6 but I will be changing my iPad Air to an iPad Pro.  I shall probably finally give in on keeping my Gen II Apple TV too because the new one has Siri and looks like a world apart from previous generations.

On phones I find Torino's comment interesting because I think the exact opposite.  I would choose iOS every time, but Windows is getting better all the time and I have a Nokia 930 I'd choose as a back up (and it is closer in features to the iPhone capability than I ever expected).  The Android powered phone would always be last and I have one of those too.  I think it is like comparing modern luxury cars to a knackered Vauxhall Viva.

Mrs P and Little Miss P have Android phones.  Every time I pick them up to snoop on where they've been and what they've done help with something or take a call, I simply have no idea where to start.  I'm sure if I had one, I'd become familiar with it inside 10 minutes, but there's a distinct feeling of CBA.

Thing is, it's the apps that determine how you use a device - and the Samsung kit is SO much cheaper than the Apple stuff and the Galaxy is now out-selling the iPhone.

Apple sales traditionally slow down before a new model is announced, you can only really know who's sold the most at year end, and it's usually Apple.

With regards functionality, there is almost nothing in it, you can't do anything on an iPhone you can't on Android, and vice versa.

The apps are generally identical, I agree with you there, but the OS is still a massive part of how it all works together, and I just don't think Android is even close to IOS in terms of ease of use, fluidity and user experience.

I can understand people changing for cost reasons, but changing because something is 'different' is a bit odd, given as you say, such a large part of the experience is using apps, which are generally identical across platforms.

Personally I'd never buy a Samsung phone again, both myself and the Mrs found them to be so inferior to iPhones in terms of build quality and reliability that it put us off for life, I also know when I upgrade I'll get most of my money back on the iPhone, whereas Android phones are worth about 50p a week after they are released, the overall cost of ownership when you factor that in is probably cheaper with an iPhone,

I guess it's just like buying a car, some people buy cheaper cars and some people buy more expensive ones, they don't really get any more functionality from them, but they just work a little better and feel nicer.

Have to say though I'm not anti Android, we have three Android tablets and they are great, I can't see the point (personally) in buying an iPad just to browse the web and play games (which is all our tablets are used for) when the far cheaper Android tablets do that just as well, but for something as personal as phones have become, something which is with you 24/7, I don't want to compromise, I want the best, and that, for me, is an iPhone.

I wasn't too excited but I did see the new MacBook at the airport the other day and they were pretty s3xy. We seldom use the Apple TV although it is good when we do. I've a new 6 so no phone upgrade and the iPad 2 Air I type this on is awesome. I will be buying one of those backup time capsule things soon though as my USB drive ran out of space the other day and the missus never backs her Air up so it all being done automatically is very appealing.

This is the first online conflab I've seen in the Apple event, may have been a bit 'meh' but pretty much all that was predicted/leaked was announced. I'm not convinced an iPad pro will replace the corporate laptop, but can see the consumer market lapping kthem up. Be interesting to see what it can do with SketchUp and our other tablet based apps.

The 6s is a no brainier for me coming from a 4S, my upgrade is long overdue! Camera/video are the big things I'm looking forward to using. 3D touch is a nice to have feature, it's success will depend on how quick it is along with App developer implementation.

Apple TV? Have a 3rd Gen that gets used probably once a month but can see the appeal of the new one.

Now all these Siri activated devices will be listening in it could be interesting which one answers lol.

I am considering the iPad Pro, pen and smart case keyboard.

Was looking to replace my mid-2010 MacBook Pro with the latest top end model (£2500 approx.), I mainly wanted a new MacBook Pro for photo editing but looking at the new the iPad Pro, it may be able to do the job instead?

The A9X CPU must have some serious CPU grunt to be able to play 3x 4K videos at the same time, my current 2.4Ghz i5 MacBook Pro would struggle.

This leads me to think, are Apple's A8/9 based CPU's more powerful than the i5/i7 Intel CPU's MacBook ones?

The only problem is, if I go down the iPad Pro route, I will need to buy a lot more smaller accessories as the total invoice must exceed £2000 (VAT purposes).

Wasn't too blown away by the iPhone6S & Watch OS2 announcements :)

The Apple TV4 looks good though, a step in the right direction and long overdue.

I have recently switched phone, currently have an android phone as my main and a windows phone as back up, Iphone 6+ is sat on desk looking a bit lonely.

I still use an Ipad air1 and no need to change that, tablet doesnt get much use with me.  My Laptop is a samsung and that goes most places and works fine.

The Android phone has been a bit of a revelation, takes some getting used to, but it works better with all my other technology than my iphone.

Watch has no appeal to me at all, I cannot find an excuse to even have one as a company product!

The ipad pro looks nice, but I've no need for one so I'm guessing that there was nothing announced that has any value to me.
