Riz
Its finally been unveiled.... I think it looks pretty good but having only limited iOS connectivity/functions can it actually survive? http://www.redmondpie.com/tag-heuer-connected-1500-android-wear-watch-is-official-here-are-the-details/ http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/midas/6d0a6244da3f7de43e1cea22ba69a339/202943583/tagheuer.jpg
E-bmw
I do hope so, coz not everyone has a clitoris phone.
NewNiceMrMe
Dead before it launches. It is a normal watch more than it is anything else. I just don't see how it can compete.
JonC
Damn sight better looking than the Apple watch (if that's what it's being compared to)
NewNiceMrMe
Damn sight better looking than the Apple watch (if that's what it's being compared to) Oh absolutely, but again I think people confuse a watch as jewellry with a watch as a digital device. I don't see the Apple Watch as a competitor to my TAG or vice versa. If I want to wear a nice looking timepiece, I will, but it is never, ever going to be in the same market as the Apple Watch. JonC
Oh absolutely, but again I think people confuse a watch as jewellry with a watch as a digital device. Call me old fashioned, but I want a watch for, well, a watch. I've a phone for texts/calls/internet etc

Tipex
Have to say I don't like it, it's neither very good at being a smart watch, nor a piece of jewelry. I assume the display goes blank in order to save battery when you are not using it, so you must have to press something just to activate the display and tell the time, which means most of the time it will just look like a watch without a face. As an aside, has anyone got one of those Bluetooth Casio Edifice watches? they make some very nice ones, I know it's not a flash make or anything but I do quite like them (not the branded Red Bull ones), but I can't work out what the Bluetooth bit does? Riz
Only this I think... Bluetooth Linking the watch to a smartphone provides access to the correct time, not only in the current location but in any of 300 cities around the world. Alarm setting and control over various other functions from the smartphone enhance operability to an unprecedented high level. For all the people on the move on the world stage, CASIO presents its first Bluetooth® SMART-equipped EDIFICE analog watch. Tipex
Oh, nothing interesting then. I still like them as watches, might get myself one as a daily.
CarMad
I think I like the idea of that some how and in aesthetics in the glossy photos at least looks better than the Apple Watch. I don't have loads of e-mails or texts to make the benefit of the Apple watch worth while and when I tried it on it didn't quite do it for me. I think I like a fairly heavy substantial watch and the lightness of the combinations I'd tried made it feel almost cheap. I suspect the TAG connnected won't live up to the glossy photos in the real world but at least a bit of competition will keep Apple on its toes.
