Waylander
Then you're doing it wrong. Check the allocated resources and make sure you have parallels tools installed. I must have. Deleting the Win10 snapshot, reverted to the Win7 one, uninstalled Parallels tools, upgraded to Win10, reinstalled Parallel Tools and it works great now. Thanks

Only if you remember they're not waterproof.

garcon magnifique
Turns out ClamXAV is no longer free, Mark Allan has gone commercial. This could be good news for future releases, because (he says) he'll be able to spend more time on development. So in a couple of versions it might be as good as other paid for tools. In the meantime I think I'll go with Sophos, because the consensus (not just here) seems to be that it's the best free tool.
NewNiceMrMe
Go with Sophos, as you say, or BitDefender. You'll never use it anyway.
Riz
I think I have Sophos, will check tonight..... Are Apple OSX machines now more likely to get viruses and spam problems etc?
garcon magnifique
Everything I've read suggests not really, but it can happen, it's probably more likely to happen in the future, and most of all as Mac said, a good AV tool will stop you inadvertently passing Windows nasties on to others. They allegedly never used to. I never used to own a mac before....

He's not charging much, you pay a single fee and you use the registration across ALL your machines (I have 4 running the paid version)...

CarMad
By the way if you are going for Parallels they have some mega deal on at the moment you might be able to grab. For £35 you get Parallels 11, 1Password, Everynote and 2 years of external access to the machine. I got it last year and its been great on all points and well worth it for that money. Waylander
I cant remember if I got this deal or just Parallels 10 (likely the latter) so I think I will wait until next year Black Friday for version
