Waylander
You likely know about the culling of storage (iirc Mac raled against it). NewNiceMrMe
Office365 subscribers keep their 1Tb of storage. That link is for users of the free storage service free only.
Waylander
To clarify. Those on 1Tb (Office 365) and 5gb (free) stay as you are anyway. Those on >1Tb have it for 1 year, dropping down to 1Tb after this. Those on free 15gb + 15gb (30gb) (like me) need to sign up to this offer which gives you office 365 personal (i think) for 1 year (1Tb) dropping back to retaining your 15/30gb after this. Otherwise you drop down to 5gb too
NewNiceMrMe
It's a no brainer. Sign up to Office365 Personal. The offer is superb. A full year subscription, free of charge. I still think the full price Office365 option is outstanding value for money anyway.
Waylander
Yes it is. Not everyone knows about it......hence the thread Wonder what happens to a standalone Office install after the free period of office 365 expires though..... Not everyone knows about it......hence the thread Wonder what happens to a standalone Office install after the free period of office 365 expires though..... You'll get sent a renewal and if you don't subscribe, the apps will stop working after approximately 28-30 days. MrsMe didn't renew one of her licenses about a year ago and the apps continued to work for around a month and then when you tried to fire them up after that they'd take you to the Office365 site to subscribe. Waylander
That's fine if you didn't have a standalone install already in place. I have just installed Office 2016 on the desktop so presumably after 1 year I will revert from office 365 to office 2016 - most likely needing a repair install I bet

I don't use it much but now have 15Gb available.
