993 Turbo

You'll have to forgive my ignorance of different 911 variations, but the 993 is really the only 911 I like.

Can't tell you why, just like it, I believe it was the last air cooled 911? But that's not why I like it, if I could have one with a more modern water cooled engine and drivetrain etc, that's what I'd have (theoretically of course, no 911 is actually on my dream car shopping list).

The one that replaced it, 996? Not keen on that at all, most of it looks ok, but those Boxster headlights cheapen it massively, looks too obviously cobbled together from a parts bin (albeit a Porsche parts bin, which is clearly nothing like a GM or VAG parts bin).

I guess my perfect 911 would be the front of the 993 cut-n-shut onto the rest of a 996.

Actually, you may know the car I'm about to refer to, possibly. When I lived up in Auld Reekie from '05-'10, I saw, just twice, and both times (dry days too) on the by-pass, a very late ('98) and very rare jet black  993 Turbo S. Concours condition too.
