Andy_Bangle
I was expecting him to select reverse instead of drive, confuse the brake and gas pedals then plough though the nearest shop window

Tipex
Really? My first thought was 'oh do f*ck off Audi'. But then being VAG i suppose they are at least comparing to something with similar fuel consumption for once. Can't be a UK advert? It says 205mph at the end and the car looks like it's moving. Andy_Bangle
It's Audi's "SuperBowel" advert
Torino101
It'll suit the American mind-set to a tee, saccharine, overtly sentimental dross.
NewNiceMrMe
I think it's a crap advert..... ...but very, very clever to use a Bowie soundtrack. The link between space travel and the R8 is a bit naff. However, the video above is the short version of the advert. The full length (90s instead of 60s) establishes a much better link. Tipex
Re the Bowie sound track, clever because he's passed away or clever even if he hadn't? I suspect the music choice was made long before he passed away.

JonC
Love it and Audi's adverts generally. Usually very emotive.
Scotty
For me the worst bit of the advert is the R8's engine note. It simply doesn't do it for me.
