fatcat
Why is it always me.......... For the last 4 months I've been using my MacBook Pro (very nice it is too). Anyway, my Windows 7 laptop has been unused and ignored for months, until last night that is. My clients wants me to do 'some work' from home whilst I'm recovering from my op (how kind of them) and they gave me a Avtivcard fob thing for remote access and instructions on how to log on. Turning on my laptop I got the shock of my life, from nowhere springs fecking Windows 10 and the remote access thingy will not work with MS Edge (whateverthe****thatis) or with Windows 10, a few Googled answers later tells me to recover back to Windows 7 (if Windows 10 is less than 30 days old - which it was not..... ) if I want to allow remote access So I'm stuffed. The only choice I have is to re-install Windows 7, my Dell laptop come with it already pre loaded so how the feck do I do it ? Do I have to buy a new Windows 7 (£££'s) or is there a more sneaky way of doing it Remember now, use only simple words and phrases.
Rachel
Ask the client if their remote access is tied to windows or can it be used from a Mac/ If the latter, problem solved... (maybe)

Mac
Use VIrtualBox and run windows on a mac. If you can pay in coffee and good cheer I know a man who may sort this for you.
Rachel
Good one Mac. I did that back at the turn of the century with IBM. They gave me a 15" PowerBook, but their remote access was an Aventail SSL thingy. VM on the PB, made it the proxy for work stuff, and voilà, it all worked a treat.
