Did you enjoy my stories of car factory cock-ups? I now have a book out!

30 chapters of scarcely believable bodges wrapped up in a handy holiday-read-sized 5"x8" paperback containing companies from Peugeot to Porsche and Hummer to Rover. Actually, there's a lot of Rover in it. If you've ever found a sandwich in your new Vauxhall, or someone's finger in your MINI, this book might explain how it got there. There's an amusing explanation of production terminology and some slightly xenophobic jokes about Japanese quality standards.

There's more; Because this is a pre-order, it's not too late to add your own experiences. If you'd like to rant to a manufacturer, we'll give you a little page space in return for your support. You can pre-order via Kickstarter (it only takes your money if/when enough copies are pre-sold) online below. I hope you'll find the book to be 83% amusing, 12% educational and 5% other.

Go on. Click this; https://www.kickstarter.com/…/confessions-from-quality-cont…

PS - I'd like to thanks Patently who was the first, ages ago, to say he'd like to hear about my experiences inside car factory quality departments, to El Davo who helped with the prufe reedin and to MrMe for his advice on all Kickstarting/Amazonning etc.

PPS - I have a month to get enough pre-order sales to get this off the ground. I'd be most grateful if you could share it elsewhere online, mentioning that the book is funnier than the title implies.

PPPS - The chapter on Porsche contains talk of public hair. Just so you know what you're getting.

Hmm, free rant?  Here's a freebie  ;-)

My VW MkIV Golf .:R32 had the engine mounted so far to the right the dogbone mount at the bottom was twisted something like 40 degrees out of true and the RH engine mount contacted the engine during hard left corners.  Oh and they forgot to actually attach the dash to the firewall...

I shall check my disposable finances next week, and if there is spare $ will be in for a copy or 2 of a real, tangible, cellulose and lignin hypermedia respository.
