garcon magnifique
Out of interest, anyone know what deals are out there on a new 335d?
Andy_Bangle
Autobid and UK Car discount are both saying 19-20% on that model which seems to the norm across the whole 3 series range. Freedom leasing regularly advertise a 335d x drive M sport for 300 a month inc VAT with 10k millage allowance. Tipex
Can't help with deals, but, my brother is still loving his. Interesting to hear his perspective contrasting to Mac's, Mac was saying it's a great car, but didn't feel special coming from the M3 which is easy to understand. My brother came from a Focus RS, so a significant change for him and he thinks it's very special indeed, it's also his first diesel save for a Discovery he had almost 20 years ago, he thinks it's scarily fast compared to the Focus (which wasn't exactly slow), but more due to the way it delivers the power, it's utterly effortless. garcon magnifique
Pick it up Thursday-ish. 9 months old, 4,500 mls 335d M Sport saloon, Mineral Grey with Coral Red leather and brushed aluminium trim. M Sport plus pack = 19" wheels, LED lights, sun protection glass, Harman Kardon speakers, M Sport braking system... Professional media pack, heated front seats and - a rare bonus option - electric sunroof.
garcon magnifique
The red leather is a bit more subtle than it is in the photo. Honest.
Tipex
Very very nice, love the colour too (interior and exterior). I like a sunroof too, I'd rather have a sunroof than the panoramic roof in the Galaxy but it's not an option unfortunately.
PeterS
Lovely colour combination! It's what I really wanted to order on the 2 series, but that comes with blue brake callipers and I coudnt bear the clash of red, blue and grey
garcon magnifique
This has the blue callipers too. I'll have to try and park so the wheel spokes are mostly hiding them.
PeterS
Haha... Blue and grey...fine! Grey and red...fine! But in a convertible they're all visible at the same time when the roof's down...OCD? Maybe
garcon magnifique
This was at the dealership. M3 Competition Package in special order Long Beach Blue (the M2 launch colour). Looked and sounded stunning. Edited July 30, 2016 by garcon magnifique
Andy_Bangle
I had the grey and red combo on one of my M3's, they look fantastic together You can always change caliper colour ...
Pincher
Is it on run flats? I'm on 19" RFTs and the ride on anything other than glass-smooth roads is bone-jarring to say the least.
Mac
Very nice, love the colour must admit I had run flat concerns but they've proven to be unfounded worries. I find it fine on 19 rf but M3 was hardly a soft ride? still don't like the Xdrive badge - think it looks tacky. Keep meaning to take that and the 335d badge off.
Pincher
I hate the ride on mine. Maybe you just drive like an old lady?

garcon magnifique
On suspension, this is standard M Sport set up on 19" run flats. Still firm but feels much more pliant than my E92 coupe is with the same arrangement. Might have spec'd adaptive suspension on a new one but having driven this I'm not sure it's needed (and very few used ones out there with it). Not sure if xDrive makes a difference to the ride having not tried one without. Oh yeah. The badges will be coming off. Stealth effect: maximum. Mac
Adaptive suspension - I ... Don't get this. Same on the M3. Played with it for a bit (the suspension, for clarity), then just left it in comfort for ever. Pretty much the same on this one - I stick it on sport sometimes, but rarely, and I've changed it so it doesn't touch the suspension anyway. People bang on about it being essential - I honestly don't think it is.
jimdiesel
Nice Garçon. Just to point out xdrives don't come with Msport suspension. It's a higher ride height softer unique spec. This may suit you. If you find that it doesn't suit, the Schnitzer upgrade is good value and very effective as is the Birds offering. Top colour combo.
NewNiceMrMe
My Z4 had the coral red extended leather and it was very nice indeed. That car (Garcons) looks fabulous. A very nice combination and the sunroof makes for a nice addition.+++
PeterS
The coral leather is lovely...and I agree; I'd forgotten how nice it is to have a sunroof
