Re-spec'd M3

Can't help with deals, but, my brother is still loving his.

Interesting to hear his perspective contrasting to Mac's, Mac was saying it's a great car, but didn't feel special coming from the M3 which is easy to understand.

My brother came from a Focus RS, so a significant change for him and he thinks it's very special indeed, it's also his first diesel save for a Discovery he had almost 20 years ago, he thinks it's scarily fast compared to the Focus (which wasn't exactly slow), but more due to the way it delivers the power, it's utterly effortless.

Pick it up Thursday-ish.

9 months old, 4,500 mls 335d M Sport saloon, Mineral Grey with Coral Red leather and brushed aluminium trim.

M Sport plus pack = 19" wheels, LED lights, sun protection glass, Harman Kardon speakers, M Sport braking system...

Professional media pack, heated front seats and - a rare bonus option - electric sunroof.

Very nice, love the colour ;)

must admit I had run flat concerns but they've proven to be unfounded worries. I find it fine on 19 rf but M3 was hardly a soft ride?

still don't like the Xdrive badge - think it looks tacky. Keep meaning to take that and the 335d badge off.

On suspension, this is standard M Sport set up on 19" run flats. Still firm but feels much more pliant than my E92 coupe is with the same arrangement.

Might have spec'd adaptive suspension on a new one but having driven this I'm not sure it's needed (and very few used ones out there with it). Not sure if xDrive makes a difference to the ride having not tried one without.

Oh yeah. The badges will be coming off. Stealth effect: maximum. +++

Adaptive suspension - I ... Don't get this. Same on the M3. Played with it for a bit (the suspension, for clarity), then just left it in comfort for ever.

Pretty much the same on this one - I stick it on sport sometimes, but rarely, and I've changed it so it doesn't touch the suspension anyway.

People bang on about it being essential - I honestly don't think it is.

Nice Garçon. Just to point out xdrives don't come with Msport suspension. It's a higher ride height softer unique spec. This may suit you.  If you find that it doesn't suit, the Schnitzer upgrade is good value and very effective as is the Birds offering.

Top colour combo.
