Any experience on here of ID Mobile?

need to get a sim contract for Master W. Virgin have pulled the tariff I have for Miss W for any new contracts which is a pity as 250min, texts ++ and 1gb data for £6 is great.

even 500mb data would be fine (technically 250mb should be too for a "keep in contact only" phone but experience tells me otherwise!) they've now dropped it to 250/250mb

ID mobile on 3 network by CPW doing 250min/unlimited/500mb for £5

Yeah, that's gonna work and you're never going to get a massive bill one day when they don't realise they're using mobile data... :roflmao:

To be fair Miss W is well disciplined in using Wifi only ( doing well for 3 years!) ; HE is going to be a different matter but when they are allowed more lattitude then the contracts will be changed to reflect this. I want his first year of use to instil good practise

Have to agree with Mac.

Smartphones without almost unlimited mobile data are not smartphones.

Even our youngest gets through 75% of a 20gb monthly allowance and she will always use WiFi when at friends houses.  If they have to rely on WiFi alone, their ability to message and use the channels they do becomes zero.  They'd be a social outcast in minutes. :roflmao:

Because (whilst it is still relevant) I want them to understand the concept of data usage. Clearly YMMV as I've never breached my 4gb cap and I don't watch my data its just the way I use it.

They're young enough that I'd rather they were interacting with friends when out and about not glued to phone - an for whatsapp etc 1gb seems to work fine

Works for our household so far (shrugs) albeit Miss W will have shackles removed as her lifestyle and social interactions have evolved

I get irritated when I read/hear stuff like that.  There's nothing to say that kids who use lots of data don't interact with friends.  Statistically, they are shown to interact just as much based on online conversations leading to plans to meet up, go out, etc.  It is an old persons line.  Oh wait... :roflmao:
